    it would cost hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, to have one installed and tens of thousands a month. Not to mention thousands in equipment and someone to configure it.

    Nope, not ADSL2+/VDSL. I'm on 100Mbit+ cable (which is the same as what the new NBN will offer at max speed initially for all you fellow Aussies)
