Just wondering... what's the use of having a dock and desktop icons?

 

No use. Especially considering that the items in the dock are duplicates of the icons on the desktop.

There are way too many icons on that desktop, too. Combine it with a complicated background and it's just unpleasant to look at. Here's my new one on Windows 7.

 

It has occurred to me that it appears that I'm the only one on this site still without Windows 7... stupid insufficient PC...
Here's my desktop anyway... I'm using the XP Media Center Edition theme on XP home... it's dual monitors, so that's why the clock is in the middle of the taskbar
