My body has a process called Homeostasis, which means that through muscle contractions and basal metabolic functions my body regulates it's own temperature, therefore preventing the need for laying on a cool rock if I get too hot, or laying in the sun when I am cold. It's one of the necessary adaptations for living in the frozen barren wasteland that is Canada, as I would not be able to function when I went outside, as there is no way to warm myself.

Edit: Fixed it because I'm a moron....

endothermic is the opposite of exothermic, which means gives out heat.

Endothermic has various definitions. Endothermic animals are mammals and junk that maintain a constant temperature or some bollocks.

Look, you can even find this stuff on wikiped:
"With regards to any given life system parameter, an organism may be a conformer or a regulator. On one hand, regulators try to maintain the parameter at a constant level over possibly wide ambient environmental variations. On the other hand, conformers allow the environment to determine the parameter. For instance, endothermic animals (mammals and birds) maintain a constant body temperature, while exothermic animals (almost all other organisms) exhibit wide body temperature variation." -Wikipedia
