It's the pose and facial expression. It's not very appealing... Blame the photographer, not yourself. He caught you at a bad light. Also, the lighting is bad.

 

Screw lighting, it was a stolen pic.

 

Still, lighting really helps determine the mood and focus.

Also, sometimes I watch CSI: Miami because the camera work is simply phenomenal. Yep, that's the only time I pay no attention to the plot whatsoever.
