lol your all too short sighted, we're past peak oil, believe it or not, plastic, GFX cards, chips, the lot is all made from oil, its just gonna be too expensive soon to make anything like a PS4 let alone anything else, unless of course your PS4 is gonna be vegetable product based :p not that that will be any better because unless farming processes change we wont be able to do that either, and if and when they do change we wont be able to produce large enough to spare for things like VegePS4's.....

Anyway yeah you can tell im a greeny/treehugger :p

While that it is true that plastics are made from oil, the majority of the other functional components you mentioned are largely independent of hydrocarbon based products. Silicon, germanium and other semi-conductors are a major part of computer chips, as well as cheap and highly conductive metals. And even if the oil industry does begin to dry up to the point where plastics are too expensive to warrant use (as is expected) the development of synthetics that don't rely on this natural resource are already developed - such as bio-plastics. While your point is valid, this is going to affect every industry imaginable, and so a viable solution will have to be found.

Although your point is also valid, I have seen the bio plastics and synthetics, and although they themselves are not made of oil they take the same, if not more amount of oil to produce. This fact along with the fact that we could never produce enough bio-mass is the reason that bio fuels will also fail. Hydrogen is no better. Though I have no doubt that something will arise.... humans are about as clever as they are stupid.

When the Ps2 came out they made an advertisement about the PS9, if they don;t come out with a PS9 like the advertised, I'm going to pop a cap in their Japanese asses.

There probably already planning it, PS3 is supposed to get 10 years support, but 4 will be out before then, just like 3 came out while PS2 is still in production

  11. processors have reached their limit, thats why they are making things like dual and quad cores, eventually, they will run out of core names :D

no, processors have not reached their limit. The next step is a quantum processor.

:)Well once graphics and performance technology reach to a certain point in computer and video game consoles(which both are the same) it will hopefully change the direction in the industry to invest even more money in the games themselves instead of performance(since they cant really improve on it at that point) which would make bigger and better video games(in which they already make really good games now), in other words they would have bigger budgets and more time for producing video games plus when the technology reaches a certain point the technology to produce these video games and video game systems(in which the savings would go to the consumer) would be cheaper to buy and easier to program for the people who develop the video games, it is sort of like when the sony playstation came out, at that time the technology was cheaper to buy and easier to program for the developers to make sony playstation games, that is why so many great games came out on the sony playstation and plus the games and video game system were cheaper to buy for the consumers and that is why the playstation was the the number one video game system in that generation(the 5th generatiobn)and that is also why the ps2 was the number one video game system in the previous generation( the 6th generation) . :)

by the time processing and graphics become obsolete, we'll probably be living like in star trek, space voyaging. holograhpic imaging and such, like the holodeck in star trek.
