Hey guys! Not sure if this is in the right forum but here goes.

So I have a physical copy of Pokemon Y and have already completed the game, I was hoping to start a new game but to do so I would have to clear the current save data. Was wondering if there was any way to extract the save data as a backup so that I might be able to access it in the future.

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can. If you own an R4i Save Dongle. It's a usb device which you can use to inject and extract save files from NDS/3DS official game cartridges. Back then, the maker gave away free samples worldwide. Try searching your local game stores or via online shops if you want to buy one.

I realize this may be a little late but if it's just your pokemon you're afraid of losing there is the new pokemon bank! ;v) It's only a lousy 5 bucks a year to use too! ;v)
