I once knew when I first found it while searching for Pokemon hints and such. It didn't stick though.
put an infected pokemon in your box. whenever you want to infect another pokemon, place them together in your team for a minute and put the previously infected one back in the box.
Likewise, I don't think the OP cares about the whole Pokerus/EV training since it's counter-productive to start EV training as soon as you begin the game and if he's playing R/B/Y, there's absolutely no relevance.
Let me end on EV training on this note: Playing a repetitive MMORPG is much better then EV Training, anyday.
