I had to resort to my pearl version to get the 30 or so missing pokemon for my pokedex.

I found this; it goes to 999:59, and then it stops counting. Probably because it would eventually run out of memory for the value for whatever type of variable used.

But you can Pokésav the time right? So couldn't you change the time back to a lower level?

You could...but I don't mess with the game settings on Pokesav. I tried messing with the Battle Tower consecutive wins/current wins, and it bugged out. I was going against the boss and it glitched and a lesser trainer appeared.

I don't use Pokésav or any cheats at all on Pokémon Platinum

It's nice to easily find out what your IVs are of unhatched eggs.
I spawn close to 4 boxes full of eggs, and then I go onto pokesav and inspect each egg, before I hatch all of them.

I usually pick the best one out of the whole box, hatch those and then stick them in the daycare to see if I can get something better.

Also, it's nice to be able to modify your IVs to your liking for instance, setting up HP Fire, with valid PID and Nature. Anything with a specific Hidden Power won't have perfect IVs, and any with a valid PID, (with matching Ability) won't have anything near perfect IVs.

I mainly use pokesav to shortcut a lot of things, like editing moves that I would otherwise have to find a TM for, and waste my time with that. Since I don't always have another DS to trade with, I had to hatch a Gengar from an egg to get it to count in my pokedex, and then pokesav my Haunter to become a Gengar, and then release the Egged Gengar. I did that with most of the linkable evolutions.

I'm trying to play the spanish version of this game.
No running shoes yet, and they're already using tenses I don't remember...

Isn't this game supposed to be for 7-8 year olds?
Hopefully, this will refresh my spanish since it is my major...

    what?

anyway, to make things not so boring, I SAVed me a squirtle and got rid of my piplup. I might get an original team together, like the old times where you had your starter, pidgey, pikachu, kadabra, gyarados, and whatever else to fill the 6th one.

i find many of the old teams more fun to play around with, especially in the new gens cause they've got stuff they don't have before, or at least some of them. blast burn for the win =P

It's only because they out-level you by 10-15 at the end. If you had level 60-65 pokemon, it would be very easy. I just realized that even the original game had level 60-65 pokemon for gary.
