With soft reset on, I went 24 events and froze. This patch does not work. For those who claim it even partially works, I would love to know how. As it is, the patch is just another fake pile of garbage. Might as well lock this thread, it proved long before I tried it that it was unreliable and not worth wasting time on.

Are you sure your R4 is a LEGIT one? I have a LEGIT R4 and the game runs for about one hour (200+ or so events) before I enter a black void area where the game later crashes.

I have 8 badges now, headed to the elite four. The game hasnt crashed since I exited the Ice path

EDIT: Got the spinning balls of death when I was facing the lady infront of the Victory Road gate.... The last freeze was after exiting the Ice Path... its been 45 minutes... I hope that time gap doesnt keep narrowing..

My R4 is completely legit. It will only run 1.18 and YSMenu (though I haven't bothered with r4li 1.24). I'm also not going to waste my time seeing if maybe it is just because I need to format my SD card. The patch either works, or it doesn't work, there is no in between. If it crashes even once, it is a bum patch and deserves to be scrapped.

We all know that this patch doesnt fix the game completely, but it does extend game play time for alot of people here when the US version crashed after 24 or so events. This is better than nothing. Either the mods can lock this and post the link to the patch in the main topic, or keep this open and let us figure something out.............

i believe u have an r4,not a r4sdhc,everyone knows it works but it freezes sometimes duh

Only 30 Minutes for you? My game freezes every 45 Minutes for me.. BTW, Im only using a 512MB Micro SD Card if that matters at all (probably doesnt)

ok, so i'm gonna try using the patch and see how long i can play. i will give you an exact time period of play. i'm currently downloading the pre patched rom, so i'll you tell when i start and how long it takes to freeze.

well uhh, it lasted 16mins, i got to the part where i just gt my running shoes and i was heading to route 30 to get to mr.pokemons house it was somewhere aroung 24 events, so this patch didn't work outfor me.

i got a R4i v1.4 card thingie for my dsi i dunno bout its upgrades and shit ^^

Using Legit R4 v 1.18 and I can confirm that ive dowloaded the pre patched ROM and it freezes after 15 events! Btw its just after defeating Bugsy.
