Yep, you should be, but beware of sudowoodo after the 3rd gym...

I think that it's sad we had to result to this to play these games. I was all excited to actually be able to play a game I loved so much only to be crushed by my lack of pocket change and the lack of rom hackers with enough initiative to do anything about it... Thanks Captain for your help through RomUlation, I'm glad I don't have to go through the patching and can just download the roms.

I'm really grateful to the person who went though with this and continued with it... Its working like a charm on my N5, and I'm headed to Cianwood! Only minor things that might need to be fixed are the japanese that some people speak (example. the people in front of the ocean in Olivince), the naming of your Pokemon, and the Pokedex. Those are only minor though, this is fully playable and I love it!

i applied the patch and all but when i try to save it crashes...help? im using the no$emu 2.6a

Me too. Same emulator -- lemme guess... after the third gym + soodowoodo area?
Rom-image crashes right after the save?
Loads up to 2 saves before the most recent save?

Make sure you use the blackscreen fix code for no$gba for it to work properly

for those with patching issues, Use this fom GBATemp:

STEP 1:Open your My Documents folder.

STEP 2:Create a new folder, the name doesn't really matter

STEP 3ownload the patch link, along with a Japanese version of Pokemon HeartGold and/or SoulSilver.

STEP 4ut the 3 files from the download, along with Pokemon Heartgold and/or Soulsilver in the folder you created.

STEP 5:Run XDelta GUI.exe from the folder

STEP 6:click "Select Patch" and doubleclick the PKM HG + SS v1.5.patch.

STEP 7:click select ROM and doubleclick your ROM.

STEP 8:Click Apply Patch and wait, in the folder a new file will be made with your original ROM name with "patched" added at the end.

STEP 9:copy and paste the newly made ROM into your Games folder on your flashcart.

STEP 10:leave the files in the folder as you may use them the next time it is updated


It works
