ok im at oilvine and when i go onto route 40 a guy walks up and its all in japanese writing

yeah i have the same issue as the user above.. in olivine, trying to go left onto route 40, and some guy walks up and says something in japanese writing, and wont let me pass

No freezes on the original R4 with 1.18. Can't speak for clones.

Uh, that's because the Battle Frontier is off-limits.

when i patch the japanese version to this i cant seem to get my ar codes working. i have the right id because the original version works but the patch does not. any thoughts?

R4ds, not a clone. im currently using the 1.18 but i am thinkin about uping to the r4l1 1.25. thats a big maybe though. any thoughts on the ar code problem?

try updating your USRCHEAT.DAT file

did that. the cheats work on the japanese version that is not patched but wont work on the patched version. its really ok actually, just found pokesav teehee. think ill mess around with that. thanks for the help

I have the same problem as Legend guys, could someone please upload the file somewhere else, the patch won't work (again) so I'm hoping someone could upload the prepatched rom to a site besides mediafire, as the link seems to fail quite often. I would appreciate the help. If it can't be uploaded maybe someone could attach the file to an email and send it my way please? The email is [email protected]. Thanks in advance.

I have a question. With this, will renaming my save from the US version work? Or do the name lengths cause an issue, even if I haven't nicknamed anyone?

Um I love this version but i wanted to ask a question say we wanted to use AR codes for some reason nothing shows up i tried both (J) and (U) codes on the game and nothing shows up on R4 YSMenu(it freezez when i try to use R4 w/o ysmenu)

There is a patch for R4DS. It is working for some ppl and not working for others.. I think its only for LEGIT R4s, NOT clones

the pre patched ROM link doesn't work. does any one have another link for it.
