nope its not the same one. the old one was supposed to trick the rom to think its an original flash cart but the new one has the ap extracted out of it

The 'patch' file is a pair of roms with a readme document that seems almost identical to the one where they just translated the Japanese game over to english.

Thus, it's not a patch of the US roms.

This is what the readme file reads.

THIS WAS A RE-EDIT FROM RYKIN, WE USED MOST OF HIS SCRIPTS AND CHANGED SOME THINGS AROUND (R4) (M3) ECT, HIS PATCH IS ON WWW.ROMULATION.NET ALL CREDIT GOES MOSTLY TO HIM.

WORK CONFIRMED FOR:
No$GBA 2.6: Works, but freezes in-game so save a lot!
R4 SDHC: Works! There is 1 report freezing after 3 hours (with YSmenu)
R4i-Gold v.1.31b: Works!
N5: Works!
DSTT unofficial 1.17.12a: Works!
DSTT official: Don't use YSmenu on the DSTT. Then it should be fine (EDIT)
R4 (1st edition): Works! (EDIT)
EZ-Flash: Works!
M3-DS Real: Works with, and without M3 Sukra!
YSmenu (Latest version): Works!


Obviously, it was me and 7 other coders but overall they managed to put more work in and effort than I ever could, so this is really for them. The game was taken in on the basis that people said that it’s not working or “not successful” So we did a re-take and patched the US on to the (J) If your wondering why the game title is in Japanese.

This is Great thanks to:,Rykin,Steve,Mullender,Wind,Force,XPA,TmHH.

We were also taking in codes from other people’s attempts to finial the game itself, and with adding our codes and their we were able to finally finish it. Most errors were on the R4 but were easily fixed.

We now take a long break from this, HG/SS wont be looked upon by us again as we move forward, but still twitter is still open and such and work will continue, we just need a well earned break. IF things are not in English “Bugs” still, we did our best

It works 50+ events no probs, but seems like the retranslation project that rykin122 isa running on this forum.

So far it sounds like a translation to me. You do know the difference, right?

Q: Will my cheat code still work after I've patched?
A: Yes, as long as the Game-ID is the same with the game!

Q: Okay, but wich cheat code should I be looking for?
A: The cheat codes for the Japanese version (original)

Q: Will my original save file work on this patch?
A: Yes, it will but only if you change the name of the save file to AXACTLY the same name as to rom (.NDS or .SAV musn't be renamed)

Q: Are the Pokémon name's of the Pokémon gained in the game Japanese?
A: Unfortunatly yes, but only if you can't change the name in the Name-Rater's house


Q: Will the game's global settings (Coutry etc) be set to USA? (For: example Wi-Fi Settings, Wi-Fi place)
A: If anyone know's how to do it, PM me!

Q: Why can't you simply replace all of the USA files into the JPN rom?
A: Because Japanese doesn't have ' a / an ' before words. And that is inside the language-file of the USA version, so everything has to be moved exactly 8 places to let the file work correctly!

 

Just confirmed, Its not the USA version, it is indeed the japanese rom with a near full translation.
