If I could actually make decisions for Soul Silver and Heart Gold, they'd be this...

    - Johto
    Gym Leaders: Lv 12 - 49
    Elite Four: Lv 55 - 60
    Champion: Lv 65

    - Kanto
    Gym Leaders: Lv 55 - 80
    Elite Four: Level 80-90
    Champion: Lv 100

    - Battle Frontier
Trainers: choose between Lv 50, 100 or 120.

    - Mt. Silver
    Wild Pokémon: Lv 80 - 95
    Ash: Lv 140 - 150

Dissidia Final Fantasy has this wonderful mechanic where the toughest of enemies are at levels you simply cannot reach (level limit is 100, they're level 130). So imagine that in Pokémon - where only the best trainers, with the tightest teams, can actually stand any chance of winning. Imagine that being the case in the Battle Frontier, being able to face off against Trainers with Pokémon 20 levels higher than your own. Only then, to find that Ash is waiting for you in Mt. Silver with Pokémon far more powerful. Pokémon that, quite literally, only the best team could beat - even with type advantages.

I'd love a challenge that, er, challenging. Especially if one's Trainer Card reflected whether or not the trainer had actually managed to beat Ash. I mean, it would be quite something - right?

The whole 20 levels higher thing is sorta like WoW in a respect, where raids are attuned to players with the highest degree of difficulty.

I thought people were having a hard enough time with the battle tower though...
They should make it more realistic though, going in with a 50 squirtle or something similar is dumb.

When you hit fight 49, it really tests your team.

I would rather have equal leveling, but have their teams much like a real player's team. Correct natures, abilities, movesets and setups. I haven't seen any computer try and use the spiker setup, just laid Spikes and that was it. They would occassionally roar, but that wasn't even when I was trying to set up. It was just random. No choice setups either.

Do you think that they let us do simultaneous fighting or something like that, what I mean is like having pokemons fight like in the anime

I don't watch the anime, so you'll have to enlighten me.

Nah, it's not really anything like that. It's just an added difficulty for those who want it. I'd personally love to decide, when I reach the Battle Tower, to go up against Level 120 Pokémon. I mean, in Dissidia, Level 130 characters set to the nineth (highest) difficulty are almost impossible to beat due to having a massively unfair advantage in terms of stats and reaction speeds/timing. So, translated to Pokémon, we'd be talking about the best movesets available with maxed out EVs and IVs as well as dramatically superior AI (so they'll pound you into the ground, so to speak). I think the whole set up could be, and would be, incredible. I don't know exactly what kind of in-game prizes they could give for clearing the Level 120 Battle Tower, though... Maybe something for your Secret Base (or whatever they're called these days)? I say that because beating Ash, I feel, would deserve recording on your Trainer Card for anyone you come across to see.

Umm, the elite four is the same for both regions...

I think those are his suggestions. If I remember correctly, Red's Pikachu was level 81.

Yeah, but if I could decide how it all rolled out - that's how it would be. Same Elite Four, new tricks. There could even be some dialogue about how, since that was your first attempt at defeating them, they went easy on you. That now you're a Champion, they won't hold back. It would certain spice things up, I reckon.

How about a frickin' event pokemon if you beat it?
As I was saying before though...aren't people having a hard enough time with the battle tower now? My only suggestion is that the last 7 fighters should be your first 7 because anything before fight 42 is ridiculously easy.

An event? Of what sort? Don't most Events just give you new Pokémon? Aren't most serious Pokémon trainers pretty much negligent towards their Pokédex? I know I am - I go for the Pokémon I want rather than catching all of them. I've never completed a Pokédex and doubt I ever will. So, if most other trainers are like that, then there's little need of an Event unless you're given a hold item that's basically all of the Choice items in one (which would be, admittedly, badass and remarkably exclusive).

Event meaning something useful like a Deoxys, or Darkrai, or something.

Yeah, Pokémon. I've given up on those, to be honest. I can just as easily use Pokésav to give myself the Event Items and grab the Pokémon that way (my Platinum save has all of those Event Items that we folks in the UK will never get outside of a few select locations). I think, if you beat the Battle Tower's ultimate challenge, you should be rewarded with something incredible - like that Choice item I mentioned. Having all three Choice items merged into one like that would really give you the edge.

Better be a entirely different story, I'm getting tired of remakes. COUGH PLATINUM

Why would it have a entirely different story?

Like make a pokemon from the Team Rocket's point of view, or maybe from Professor Oak and the other old geezers who take advantage of kids

Could be interesting... I think I'd laugh quite badly if they released a puzzle game where you're a Rocket Admin and you have to play a Tower Defence sort of thing but with Grunts to try to stop those pesky Trainers who always show up and screw your plans.
