Pokemon Heart Gold & Pokemon Soul Silver

i hope the let you choose where you want to go after you beat the elite4 other than jus kanto you go to hoenn or shino and you can get a starter from the other professers as a gift when you visit them...like u go to kanto oak lets u choose a pokemon,hoenn the same thing etc.

 

What i'm thinking is: Where is mah Yellow Pokéymanz?!

 

Yeah, i want to go to the other regions too.. that made crystal, etc. so memorable.. I think Crystal was the best pokemon game because you could go to more than one region after defeating the elite four!

 

I seem to be the only person who'll be picking Cyndaquil... Typhlosion + Thunderpunch = win in Silver, took down that nasty Feraligatr in one hit easily enough. I wonder if they'll integrate Celebii into the game or keep it as a special event.

 

That'll be a negative. They remade Red and Blue, but didn't remake Yellow, so I doubt they'll remake Crystal after Gold and Silver.

As for your Pokémon following you around, I'm to understand that it will indeed evolve and still follow you accordingly. Dunno about you, but DAMN it'll be cool to have Typhlosion following me around. ;D

I'm really hoping that this game will be the first Pokémon game to have downloadable regions, y'know. I'd happily pay 500 points per region to get to take my team to Hoenn and Sinnoh (and maybe, if we're lucky, even the Orange Islands), if they had an actual degree of importance to the Team Rocket plot that carries on when we finally reach Kanto in Gold and Silver.

I'm sure they'll add some of those features such as the islands (like in the R/B remakes etc.). The most exciting part will probably be at the cave where you fight Red, or Ash again

Will it just be a remade sprite of Red from FireRed that you fight, or will it be Ash...And yes, downloadable regions ftw!! XD.

In G/S/C it was a different sprite and battle graphic used for Red/Ash than in R/B/Y, but it wasnt Ash from the series. I've started playing silver on my DS using Lameboy, HG/SS should be brilliant.

And downloadable regions would be cool but it would be better just to include them in the game so it's fair >:|

 

He was commenting on what I said at the top of the page. I honestly don't think downloadable regions is a bad idea at all - Pokémon fans, of which there are many, would most likely happily buy a DSi if it meant they could take their super awesome team of badassery to the other regions (Sinnoh not so much, since we're still there now basically). I think it would be great to have all the regions available in one game and I really wouldn't mind paying 500 Points each for them - as long as Kanto is actually on the cart and unlockable as it was in Gold and Silver, that is. I really just want to be able to visit the Sevii Islands and Orange Islands, as well as Kanto and Johto...

We've never actually been able to explore the Orange Islands, so it would be an awesome added incentive.

To be honest, I don't think they'd fit on a DS card... I think if they were going to give access to all of the regions, it would have to be a DSi Exclusive feature via download.

Oh, we can all say that... We'd all like them for free, there's no doubt about it. I'd love for my copy of Soul Silver to come with all the regions already on the cart and freely accessible upon completing the Kanto Gym Challenge... But that won't happen.

Nor will they be free, if they do implement them, since you can't really give full games away for nothing - and they would be basically full games considering that Hoenn and Sinnoh would need to be completely redrawn in the new graphic style, that every region would have the applicable wild Pokémon, random Trainers, Gym Challenges (Elite Four, too), Battle Frontiers and that there'd even be a high chance of Team Rocket being up to no good in each region...

The work they'd need to put into Hoenn and Sinnoh would be too great for them to just not charge anyone for it, really.

 

Sounds cool but what about new games? Will the regions still be there?

 

I'd hope that they'd be transferrable, so to speak. So, like, they would have automatic patches every time they released another DS Pokémon game - the patch providing visual upgrades depending on what game the region is being run through while allowing said DS Pokémon game to run the region.
