Why do you want another water/flying Pokemon if you already have one? (Lugia.)

 

Got the Notch-Ear Pichu and the Arceus events done. Cool stuff.

As for my team, it changes frequently, but it's looking like Typhlosion, Heracross, Lapras, Kingler, Lugia, and a blank space where my HM slaves go. I'll probably look into a decent Grass-type to round them all up.

I'm training to beat Red now, but spending some time on capturing legendaries and training up to handle his team. If I can take the E4 a second time, I'll be ready for Red.

Lugia is Flying/Psychic. And there's no other Water/Flying pokemon I can remember off the top of my head.

 

Mantine and Pelipper are the only other water flying

Took down Red at the summit of Mt Silver this morning in an insanely tough one-hour battle. I burned about 20 each of Revive, Hyper Potion and Full Restore, and still only won by the narrowest of margins. I used this team to do so:

Typhlosion L68
Kingler L62
Lapras L57
Lugia L53
Heracross L55
Ho-oh L70

The fact that it took so long to beat the guy is a testament as to just how tough he is. He might be easier at a higher level for all I know. Of note is the fact that I was often at a 20-level disadvantage.

Lance wasn't much better in my second E4 runthrough. His Garchomp is criminally strong - it tends to use Swords Dance before locking itself into a double-strength Outrage.

 

Lugia isn't water/flying.
It's psychic/flying.

 

It's true... It just happens to know water moves like Hydro Pump in the original games... Does anyone know if Lugia still learns Aeroblast?

you asking how to get one?
Eevee has to like you a lot first(max stats with carbos, iron, etc.), and level it up at night.

EDIT: Did you guys know that you can change the name of the save file from the jap version to the eng version and it will work fine?? The only problem is that your team will still have jap names....

 

That isn't a good argument for being water type.
Gyarados can learn Flamethrower, but he/she/it still isn't a fire type.

 

I noticed that. Same thing can be done with some other games. A good example I can think of is YGO Stardust Accelerator WCT2009. A single .sav file works regardless of region.
