And what about people who play it on emulators? Any REAL patches for black screens? I downloaded all of them and none of them worked, the best I could get was laggy SoulSilver with errors and shuting down od ideas emulator

Instruction:
1) Download and extract(uncompressed) the only .exe patch in there.
2) Click ‘Patch’ on the lower right hand corner
3) Select .nds roms you want to patch, in this case, HS and/or SS
4) Confirm!

I applyed the patch, did not try the game unpatched.
The game crashes every time you play for 45 minutes. I do not mean your total game time, I mean the time that you start up the game and resume playing; 45 minutes till crash.
Here are some results;

When Using BLUE LOADING (Normal Load-No DMA Patching) Crash in 45 minutes of play,*Slowdown when Saving
When Using RED LOADING (Save/Game Anti-DMA ONLY? Forgot Which) Crash in 45 minutes of play, NO SAVING SLOWDOWN!

*About Save Slowdown, if you save your game, you will notice that the music will slowdown while saving. This does not happen if you load via RED LOADING by HOLDING DOWN THE X BUTTON.

This leads me to believe that it is not a glitch, but an anti-piracy check.

The Crashes are TYPE-2 CRASHES, Music Plays as normal, but program/animations/control stops.

Now that I found out the ROOT OF THE PROBLEM (or at least how it triggers) SOMEBODY CAN FIX IT NOW!!

What is that program that you use to dicompile the ROM? I wana mess with it!

#I'm now going to backup my SS Save and try THE ORIGINAL ROM via ALL LOADING METHODS and Post my results.

 

Shit, I just lost my save because of the stupid english patch. Everytime I try and patch it, it says that it cannot find delta.exe? The instructions are all in a different language so I dont understand.. Anyone help?

 

Sorry for my questions but i should ask .. First of all how can i enter goldenrod city gym and for that gym lvl 30 feraligatr , lvl 20 flaffy , lvl 18 pidgeotto and lvl 16 growlithe is okay ?

 

DSLazy seems to not work on Linux Mint, since it's a Windows only software.
And in Vista in VirtualBox, DSLazy freezes.
NDSTool itself works.

Alright, tried playing the game via No$GBA and it gets through the opening, until it tosses you into the game, then it just black screens. Are there any fixes for this? I'd like some help, please.

Guys playing on flashcards remember to convert your save to 1MB format. My game froze while "saving a lot of data" and since I converted it I've had no more trouble.

 

i've patched the rom with antifreeze patch and it works very good on my Super Card DSONEi.

 

At school, I have let someone test our Pre-Patched ROM on her N5.
Seemed to work.

 

Still, even though it fixes the random freezes, it won't be of any use if the game tries to use the second half of the MB for the save. Unless you have an official firmware R4 (doesn't support 1MB saves) or any other problematic card in that matter you should convert the save. Mine was working perfectly for 4h after the leaf patch until it had to save "a lot of data"

Dont download no$gba its outdated and the project is dead. If you have a good computer (not super but just good) download Desmume latest version here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/desmume/files/desmume/0.9.4/desmume-0.9.4-win32.zip/download (for Windows).ITS THE BEST NDS EMULATOR! I play without freezes,without black screens,with DS real speed and without patches! hehe i remember 20 days ago when i was worry and i sayd here that maybe heart gold and soul silver wont work in no$gba. i try to connect pokemon platinum and heart gold. Pokemon Platinum is original and hg is on SC DSNEi. When i enter in contact room in hg the game crash and i must restart the DSi. Is a common problem ???

yeah i tried out wifi on heart gold and it froze when i went to speak to someone in the plaza...hmm...interesting.

currently playing through the game...no freezes since i patched via the link i posted (page 46/47...cant remember) im playing on a N5 (R4 clone) so its all good!

Im not going to get an english patch because i dont want to risk anything but if a complete patch comes out...im more than welcome!
