This is a patch for emulator only...if you download this file, run it with NO$GBA 2.6a. This is for the NO$GBA 2.6a ONLY!!! It has the fix for the black screen already installed. Make sure you go to your emulator options before playing and set Reset/Startup Entrypoint to GBA BIOS, and set NDS-Cartridge Backup Media to Auto.

i downloaded soul silver from here and it works fine on r4,even the save is working,but its strange why it doesnt work with you guys,its very strange

I went to the sou.l silver because i played the silver back in the days nothing else.

I currently have the soul silver patched with the anti-freeze and the english patch working on my dsi, acekard 2i. Never had any problem saving, or black screen, my game did freeze once entering violet city.

 

*CRY* ran it on 2.6a and it still says the rom image crashes! i'm going to go kill myself now*emo*

 

Awww don't do that! I thought that one would work too. This is really weird cause I got it to work before. I'll test it out since I have the original one working.

Hey, will there be a patch for Heart Gold? I like Heart Gold big time as well as Soul Silver.

 

Did you make sure you set those options BEFORE running the rom?

by the way, i downloaded HG but it wont run, SS will though (and FREZE!) is this a bad rom or do they not work on r4i sdhc?

finally got it working, sorry, i've been up over 24 hours >_>

 

This is what I meant when I said that they pulled an Earthbound. Earthbound had piracy checks throughout the game. It's not exactly the same, but it's very similar. Instead of making the game harder or crashing at a certain boss and erasing your saves, it just crashes randomly. Touche Nintendo...Touche...

 

Ok I just played Soul Silver with the patch and it never froze, I also played Heart Gold without the patch and it also never froze Im both in the next town over with my Cyndaquil and Pidgey and they both saved/loaded. What are you guys useing because everything is fine with my R4??

I will be buying the English version because this has caught my interest enough to buy it. Hopefully this comes out after Monster Hunter 3 because that has my attention first. If I had any money I'd buy it now, but whatever .


Oh and I was running R4 with YSMenu to get these games to work. I have them patched, but it looks like it either only prevents some freezes or I'm just lucky.

 

I'm using an R4 and it's frozen 3 times already. It definitely does show that the freezing is random. I think that some people are just lucky that their games haven't frozen yet... With the patch on, it also froze soon after playing again.

It's still playable, it seems. I've already traded over a team member from Diamond, and it didn't mess up there. I guess you just gotta be careful and save plenty for now, until a solution to the anti-piracy comes about.
