this is a link to the patch that will fix the NO$GBA blackscreen problem. The game seems to run fine now! Just download and extract the patch, and then pull up the readme.

 

In r4 its 100% funcional no breaks

 

it plays but it freezes or glitches

 

It keeps crashing LOL
I am a noob...I did everything it said on the "read me" but it keeps crashing obvs I must doing something bad XD

 

That's strange...it hasn't crashed on me at all yet

 

I extracted everything as it said on the No$gba folder then place the ROM on the encrypted folder, ran it and hit "1" and then it said the file failed and then that it was sucessful, I ran No$gba and selected the HG ROM and it said something like "The image crashed"..I tried to run other ROM's and now I cant play any of them XD

 

Did you do the rest? Like when you pull up the rom, you have to immediately pull up the menu and change "Start Cartridge Directly" to "GBA BIOS" and then you have to restart.

 

Just FYI,

I got to download, patch, and play SoulSilver on my R4. Fifteen gameplay minutes in, I had to go back to work.

The whole play session went rather smoothly... no freezing, no blackouts. I got to the point right before I battle my rival without a hitch.

So awesome! I love the remixed music.

 

It still does freeze/black out after quite some time, but it's much better.

 

my only problem is I can't figure out how to save

The game froze again. When I was battling rocket admin! But it was just that time

 

The game finally froze on me when my rival tried to show me how to catch pokemon...but saving never worked for me...so I guess I'm starting over...

 

On the lower screen, it's the Notebook icon. When prompted, chose the upper option both times, and it will save.

"Would you like to save the game?" YES
"Overwrite existing file?" YES

 

I dont understand why the game wont work. and whats with all these stupid 38kb patches? THEY DONT WORK. I tried to Arm7 patch the game with pltnm's arm7, and it worked! sadly, though, the game freezes everyonce in a while...

 

I know the method to save, but everytime I try to save, the game freezes on the saving screen.

 

well Desmume works fine, a bit slower but fine. When i entered Violet city everything looked fine, no glitches...now im in sprout tower

 

For those playing with an R4, does the below apply? I only got to play for fifteen minutes (had to go back to work ), so I am curious about beyond that.

Tonight I plan to get some serious hours in, so I'll find out either way, I guess.

EDIT: Also, has anyone tried wi-fi yet?
