  1. I would have loved to get a blue and red remake. I remember playing those on the bulky original GB.

You do know about FireRed and LeafGreen right? Or did you mean for the DS?

Soul Silver for me. That was the one that made me love Pokemon, back in those days.

Well Firered and Leafgreen were pretty good for the GBA, but they didn't do Gold and Silver remakes at all (except for the fan made one *Shiny Gold* for the GBA which wasn't bad)
But still, playing it on the DS is going to be way better than playing my Lameboy Emulator on my DS and getting bored of the older version every single time I play it. I played it so much times, I got bored of it but now that the remakes are coming, I cant contain myself!!

    that would be nice,

they need to start listening to the fans and make some damn changes, another leaf green/fire red style remake cannot be tolerated.

I totally agree with that! Some kind of avoiding system, like Pokemon can as in the series.

I hope it's coming out for de DS, if it is we can get our pokedexes complete (I miss a lot of Jotho Pokemon)

what do you mean by avoiding system

like "manual dodge", if you will. the ability to prompt the player at key moments to dodge an incoming attack. i've always agreed it's a good addition, except it will probably screw up the game pretty bad seeing how people can keep dodging and drag a battle on for no end

oohh, that's a good idea that needs a shitload of working on!
I think you should make a topic in the debates section about it.

I was thinking it. In fact, when I found out the DS had it's own internal clock, I was thinking "They should remake Pokemon Gold and Silver. That'd be brilliant!" And this was WAY before Diamond and Pearl came out.

If Nintendo starts listening to their fans, the Pokémon MMORPG would be made.
    But they don't (yet)

Yeah I dont mind the names, its the gameplay i want to see... hopefully the battles are 3D or look even better than platinum's

    Yeah
This is a bit off topic, but in pokemon platinum. Do you have to input friend codes to battle on wifi or does is select an opponent randomly

(someone from the thread "Pokemon Heart Gold & Pokemon Soul Silver" said this might make an interesting discussion topic, so yeah)

in the Pokemon games the hit/miss chance can't be directly controlled by the player without the use of evasion up/down skills or items, the prior taking up a valuable turn which might cost you the game in a pro match. but what if you are able to "manual dodge"? the ability for the game to prompt a quick input from the player at key moments, assuring a hit on the target or a dodge of an attack. is it a good idea for the game? or will it totally screw up the game due to bugs/exploits by the players?

    i say:
+ makes the game more "active" to the player than just hitting a few buttons and waiting. kinda gives it a semi-action feeling, doesn't it?

    - if it's not properly balanced and used, it will make the game worse, due to people spamming dodging wars and dragging a game on to no end. plus due to the fact that there are moves that ALWAYS hit, it kinda defies the purpose of this idea

so discuss! i want to hear some of your thoughts. and i would appreciate it if no one uses a "just because" type of reasoning as it defeats the purpose

in red/blue/yellow, pressing B rapidly when the opponent is attacking increases the likelihood of them missing.
