Pokemon Heart Gold & Pokemon Soul Silver

They were restricted to Kanto-only Pokémon, but the Sevii Islands had some 2nd Generation Pokémon and many more of them would show up all over Kanto after you beat the Pokémon Champion. So Heart Gold and Soul Silver should be restricted to the Johto Pokédex with various first and third generation Pokémon being available either through NPC trades or on a new island until you've reached Kanto (Fire Red and Leaf Green didn't have the third generation Pokémon in it due to the close proximity of Ruby and Sapphire, and I doubt these two will either given the recent release of Platinum).

if u can play like world end with you with your pokemon this game would be epic but... hard to get a good emulator to play with

 

The battle system hasn't changed in 13 years - I doubt it will any time soon, either.

Dunno... The system works really well and it's been that way since the series first began. I can't see them changing that system that we're so used to. Wouldn't mind seeing a new battle system, but the one they're using already is basically the epitome of turn-based combat. I'm not sure I'd want to see too much of a change, definitely not towards real time combat. That's best left for the spin-offs and whatnot.

It's a tentative release date, not a specific one. It just means that HG and SS will be out sometime in Winter.

I really want that Pichu. The notched ear one, I mean. Dunno why, but s/he looks awesome. BUT have you noticed? I don't think your Starter Pokémon is the only one that can, or will, follow you around... I'm SERIOUSLY hoping I can get my Mew or Darkrai to follow me around - that'd be so awesome.

It would appear so. I can't see any other reason for Pichu to be standing next to you without your Starter standing there as well. So I have the sneaking suspicion they're going to announce that any Pokémon in your first slot will follow you around. Which would be insanely incredible - I'd either have Absol, Arcanine or Mew following me.

 

Yay! Umbreon or Gengar time!

 

I want Blaziken to kick any would be back attackers square in the balls, or it'd be fun to have a huggable Snorlax following me around all day
