I would love it more if you don't need to trade with others just to ID every pokemon on your Pokedex. And I'd definitely love it more if there were no more Pokemon you'd only get at a Nintendo event, we never get any of those here :p

DEFINITELY FAILING.You know, when I was like 9 year old,I absolutely adored Pokemon. But now...I dunno, its just too boring. After I played finish Diamond,I didn't even bothered to get Heatran and beat the rival's dad.I wished they could improve the graphics, like what DQM:Joker is doing.I tell you,if game freak did that, more people would at least get interested in Pokemon.I wished they had better storyline as well. You just get the stupid badges and defeat the stupid "Elite" Four and then its game over.Well,at least for me.They could change the story to something like Advance Wars:Days of Ruin.Where a mastermind with a group of other villians control Pokemon using dark power, making them evil and super powerful or something, and people are corrupted and surrendering to the mastermind. And plot twists as well.

Like I've said,I loved pokemon, but I don't have that passion to catch'em all anymore.I kept forcing myself to play Diamond,as I wanted to force myself to like that game, like when I was young, but I just can't do it.Usually people keep on playing a game after its finished because they were amazed by the story and have a drive making them want play more. But,the story for Pokemon SUCKS,even with all the cool online features,I don't think its worth my time playing Diamond again.

Unless the Pokemon RPG series get a makeover, this is a game that's gonna end up like the Lost in Blue series.Eventually,it'll die off,and that's very very sad.So Game Freak,PLEASE I beg you please, give Pokemon a makeover and pull me in to the Pokemon World like you did when I was a small boy.

Amen dude. after a while pokemon gets kinda boring. the opening movie to D/P is definitely low budget. Y'still can't choose your player avatar which would make underground and wireless connection have a...... unique feel that is unique to anyone. seriously, I bet every would have at least a bit more fun playing pokemon if they could choose how they look, like being able to choose any of the player characters from past generations (I really liked wearing a headband instead of the all too familiar hat) and/or the kids from the TCG for regular gameboy. Battle Revolution for Wii has become a bit of a dissappointment. Yes, the graphics are a real eye-candy. yes you can create your own guy, but it's a significant few noodles short of a ramen bowl. The announcer guy is very annoying. not to mention loud and not background noise-like. Unlike past generations for the N64 and Gamecube, your critters don't cry out enhanced versions of their cries from the portable systems; I feel like I got a full buckshot shell to the gut just hearing the cries come out the the Wii! Even when you create your battling quotes for your avatar, they wouldn't be displayed even on Wi-Fi, and speaking of which, there is no kind of matchmaking or anything like that. There no leader boards, no News letters, and barely any real connectivity. If I managed to pull off a super narrow victory using babies vs. legendaries and no one will know about it, but me. I hurts to say this, but o how the mighty have fallen.

    Failing...
It was at it's peak at Ruby and Saphire.
The new ones are rubbish, the gameplay feels like too much effort and the new mons look lame and the names are too!

I agree (somewhat). Pokemon was amazing and revolutionary (in my opinion) back with Red/Blue/Yellow, but I think it's starting to lose some of its steam.

Seems like it is blowing off too much steam :p

it's neither failing or growing, it's just a status quo.

there are so many fps games out there yet it isn't failing or dying, it's just status quo.
with the fps games, they are all the same. yet you still play them and even rave them.

Yeah, if that happened I would feel like it's Christmas Morning and Nobody told me. It could start off with the usual get all eight badges, but instead your choices affect the prizes like if you canned the legendary mascot, something nice will happen and something equally nice in a different way will happen if you instead beat it up. It could also have the plot questXtreme mentioned. I hope Gamefreak will change the Gameplay too. The turn-based style gets old and they could make those badges actually useful like wearing certain ones increase friendship or start each battle with a short attack boost. And of course, MINIGAMES!! YOU MUST NOT FORGET THE MINIGAMES!!!!!!

The thing is gamefreak have had so many sales with their games, and up until diamond i have every one out (hoping they may be worth a bit or two in the future) so they don't want to change them, they are worried about changing them because they think that it would affect their sales, but if they tested it with a new game then they'd find out. For some reason i liked the plots in Red/Blue/Yellow and pokemon colliseum for the gamecube. Maybe they should go back to those style games.

I would prefer the random battles thing different, perhaps like DQM: Joker, more imaginative pokemon and storylines would be much better too!

Yeah, a more imaginative storyline would be a lot better, instead of the usual "get all the 8 or so badges and beat the pokemon league and become the best poke trainer ever!!!". Even something like "you are a ex-convict with 64 murders under his belt, who then realizes a new dream, to kidnap pokemon!!!" would be better.

"Ash, after getting his running shoes off his mom, he witnesses her death that his father caused with his own pokemon, Ash decides that he will get revenge for his mom and kill all who use pokemon for evil!" Would be a good storyline too :), "The Terminator finally decides what he wants in life, to train pokemon to kill!" ;D Romulation should make it's own pokemon game! That would be awesome :D
