very true... there really isnt a way for me to prove that i played this on the snes since my copy was "cart snatched" years ago by a shitty friend of a friend..but i do still have my snes about 12ft away from me and that thing is old, dusty and if you move the console while you play it'll freeze from the slightest of movement :(

I meant Gameboy as in General. I don't call gameboys by "ligh" "pocket" "Advanced" anymore.

At least you have an SNES.

i dont do it for all but i do for gameboy, gameboy color (or colour for the other countries), and gamboy advanced, just because there are games that require certain "revisions" of the gameboy.. i dont think any games were gameboy pocket exclusive though i may be wrong

digimon was out first but pokemon came and destroyed any hope

and i agree with everything markswan said in his post earlier as i forgot to mention that sorry

digimon was out a good few years before pokemon. I remember the early days of both.

Before you point fingers, look at the history of Pokemon and what exactly it is doing to itself.
Reselling the same game with a little more glam in each installment and that's about it.

    Yes, and yes.

I no longer have a love for Pokemon. Only the cards. :p
That's the only thing I like just because I always have collected all of the Pokemon no matter what.
The game on the other hand just repeats itself and I never see why I bothered to buy it right after it came out...I feel like I wasted money with HG and SS... =\

I can't stand the games anymore...I just don't feel happy playing the same thing with just different characters in each game.

I personally haven't had fun with a Pokemon game since Silver...every other game in the series has been even more degrading than the last one I played, though I really liked Platinum. I think the remake of HG and SS weren't even close to how much fun the originals were...

And please don't throw shitballs at me for my comments like others have.

    Digimon. :)
    That was another good game/show.

So which came first? The card game, the TV show, or the game?

    I don't know.

I collected the cards years before I played the actual games. :p

I think the TV show, but not sure.

I do remember the TV show a lot. I used to watch it all the time when I was younger.

I still get a kick out of the original when I watch it sometimes. ;)

I just can't stand the thought of Pokemon with an extra 150 Pokemon in an already over-flooded world full of creepy enough Pokemon as it is. :p

It's a battle cry... nothing important, you guys make it sound as if it would make some kind of substantial improvement by changing them, that really is just nitpicking.

There are only three things I'd like to see changed in the main Pokemon games:

    1. The Plot - the games uses the same plot elements over & over, a kid gets his/her own Pokemon from a lazy ass Professor who doesn't want to do his job & let a kid do it. He then wants nothing more than to be a great Pokemon trainer but he/she then has to deal with a group of *insert team name here* generic villains that don't even have a very diabolical intention in mind, just stealing Pokemon for profit.

    2. And speaking of profit, why won't they (GameFreaks) incorporate the ability to sell Pokemon you've caught for extra money? I mean, you catch over 500 Pokemon & you only need six in your team, so why not sell the rest to buy much needed inventory items instead of just letting them rot (so to speak) in storage right? Come to think of it, the first team of villains (Team Rocket) doesn't seem to be bad folks if you base it on my proposed idea seeing they are illegally selling Pokemon they stole to people. Had the Government officials in Pokemonland allowed the selling/buying of Pokemon in the first place, Team Rocket would have probably built a very successful & legal business.

    3. Remove the need to go to Nintendo events to get a hold of event Pokemon :p As I said in the "Cheating is bad thread", not everyone has the opportunity to attend such events so by hosting such events Nintendo is being a big dick about letting fans really catch 'em all :p

i agree even if they made it to where you could join team rocket or whatever (like pokemon rocketred) it would be a good change, i always liked team rocket anyways..i would love to sell 100 pikachus to get more full restores haha but i think that would be borderline slave trading haha which is frowned upon even though im pretty sure zoids lets you sell your robots but robots aren't people as Cahos has stated before :D and why are the professors so lazy? thats a very good point..

and nintendo events... im pretty sure a 23 year old like me would definatly be out of place there haha..

poke'geek :" what are you doing tomorrow? wanna play pokemon?"

me: " sorry lil dude i got to work, life sucks when you get older...dont do drugs."

I'm going to follow up on event Pokemon before suis slaps me with his "use WiFi trading" comment, again from the cheating thread.

I'm not really into the trading bit on Pokemon games as I hate that, "You can't rename Pokemon you've gotten from other trainers" bullshit the game throws at you. I really enjoy giving my own names to Pokemon, especially if the name would suit them better than what the original trainer gave it. As an example, I always give Mewtwo the name Freeza (from Dragonball Z Fame) as Mewtwo kinda looks like Freeza. And if ever somebody traded me a Mewtwo with a very lame name like "Spoogebutt" or Jay-Jay", I'd be very, VERY pissed!

Also, as I said on said thread, I play the Pokemon games on an emulator so WiFi trading is not even available to me.

i wish they would change the "nickname" policy too..it is bullshit to trade a poke'mon to someone only to get a poke'mon with a stupid nickname you cant change, even with the trainer you can trade with in the game. why would i name my abra "kazaam"? who do i look like Shaq? haha

  19. Cahos Rahne Veloza

Cahos Rahne Veloza The Fart Awakens

Well you can't please everybody, I mean I'm pretty sure my Freeza nickname for Mewtwo would be stupid for somebody else & that Spoogebutt would appeal to somebody else as well LOL!

true - if i got a pokemon nicknamed "spoogebutt" i'd just die.. i think you covered it when you said it might appeal to others but not to me

i also think pokemon would benefit from (im having a difficult time coming up with the right way to explain this) a story system like in Knights of the Old Republic.. in which you get to pick what your reaction is./. i know there's a name for it but im drawing a blank right now
