    GO TO THE OFFICIAL PROJECT POKEMON TRANSLATION PAGE
    DO NOT USE THE FIRST POST OF THIS THREAD, AS IT IS APPARENTLY CONFUSINGLY INACCURATE TO SOME DEGREE OR ANOTHER.

    First off, ALWAYS upgrade to the latest translation patch. It always has more to offer than the last. You need the patch with the exp fix coded in. There are a few versions of every patch that feed to certain needs (with exp patch, w/o exp patch, with still Japanese Pokemon names, etc.). By using the main project page, you are sure to always get the patch you need.

    I've posted the link several times now for the official translation page. Check pages 21 to 23 for my posts and the link.

    One of the pieces of AP on this was that you get no exp in battles. If your firmware already fixes this, you don't need the patch with the exp fix. Most carts don't have this fix naturally though, so they need the patch that also fixes the exp AP.

    Don't give out false advice when you don't seem to know what you're talking about. You only serve to confuse people.

    The names are as they imply. One provides the exp hex edit fix, the other does not. Pick the right choice depending on your cart.

    I don't confuse people. I give reliable advice. They are the same literally as you can use either one of the patch and patch it and you get the same results. I just did not give exact detailed information as they did not ask >:D

    They asked for the difference between the two patches. There is a distinct difference. Don't be ignorant, it only serves to come back to you in a negative way.

    Help people completely or don't post. It can be hard enough to get people on the right track.

    That comment is about as useful as the image you commented on.

    Translation progress:

    - Story up to first gym
    - EVERYTHING battle related (Pokemon names, item names, main item descriptions, moves, etc.)
    - PC in Pokemon Centers
    - Opening text when healing Pokemon in Pokemon Centers
    - All trainer names (just to add to battle related things)
    - Main and in game menu (with parts inside of the options in the main menu translated)
    - Some misc stuff

    Um well basically, I didn't do the YSMenu to make V3 and all i needed to do was do this eNDryptS thing. Is the YSMenu important?

    Ugh, I hate other firmwares that require little specific updates. What firmware and cart are you using exactly?

    I'm using TTDS and not TTDSi, is that a problem? and is TTDSi better than TTDS because i'm using and r4i and I can't decided which one is better, either TTDS or TTDSI?

    I would never suggest an R4 clone over other carts, but the TTDS is a pretty bottom of the line cart at this point to (this includes it's TTDSi variation). If you're considering a new cart, I would suggest the Acekard2i or the Supercard DSTwo. The DSTwo is the best, but the Acekard2i is a but more affordable depending on the person and still has great compatibility.

    Dropping by this early morning to sound-off 1 particular thing.

    I recall someone saying something like this, "I can't stop the Pokemon evolution process, the 'B' button feature from past pokemon games is missing in B/W." in a particular forum page. Not going to mention which page it was.

    Got to say that dude who ever his username was, must be plain idiot or new to pokemon game. Claiming that function is gone in B/W without first confirming it before making that comment.

    Anyway, just so everyone know - for those of you who don't know that is, especially those of you who never play pokemon game before B/W. If you happen to experience freezing each time your pokemon goes into evolution phase.

    Press 'B' button several times to startle the pokemon and stop it from evolving.

    Do it everytime it goes into that mode. That's the solution if you have such issues, cause surely most of you who don't know about this classic feature are new to pokemon game and only start playing it with B/W without Japanese Language knowledge. Not sure if any character within that B/W game mentioned about it, even if it does, surely most of you don't understand Japanese. Happy Playing.

    ** Side note:
    R4DS Original v.1.18 using VividBoy's mod. YSMENU R4YSauto v0.02 and Wood R4 v.1.13 and using Rudolph's Child Play Patch v.4 for Japanese version (un-translated); have no issue with the C-Gear App. Tried having it on for 1 hour game play without problem. I've even play around with the C-Gear touch screen options. Not sure about the Union Room, I've patched it with the RCPPv.4 but I have not tried going into that room cause I got no reason to do so anyway. But it does go into 'black screen' when you try to access it from the main title screen at the bottom of the 'Load SAVE FILE'.

    So can does this mean I can download the firmware for DSTwo from and launch it from my r4i? If not, wha is the best firmware I can use to launch from my r4i?

    Why don't you just use Wood R4 v1.13? It works fine on it's own with zero extra fixes for me.

    Haha, I'm talking a new cart, not firmware. The DSTwo firmware will work on nothing but the DSTwo.

    Great I don't think I can get a new cart, so does that still mean Wood R4 v1.13 will work from launching from my r4i? If not of this works, then what is the best deal I can get without getting a new cart and can be launched from my r4i?
