    Works great on Wood R4, but the cheat to uncensor the characters doesn't work :(

    Yes but only into Klingon, Swahili, and Binary.

    :( I'm sorry, I'm going to sound like a complete noob... But I can't seem to be able to patch my game... It would be VERY helpful if I could get a step by step walkthrough for patching my game... Thank you...

    I am using this on no$gba. Does it work? I keep getting a save data error. please help

    Never mind i got past it. anyone who can tell me how to save?

    Is it just me or does there seem to be some problems with the touch screen every now and again? The 'Fight' option doesn't come up in battles and the "Do you want to nickname randompokemox?" screen doesn't come up after catching a Pokemon either.

    I'm playing on my Acekard2i, btw, and all other patches have worked thus far.

    doesnt work on ncard ;_;. Always freezes just as professor starts talking after hitting new game. Can anyone help or is it a lost cause?

    I use a CycloDS which's saving system works exactly the same as that of the original R4. I guess I'll just give it a try and see ^_^

    Why do you need to patch it? They have a pre patched one at the beginning of this thread.

    Ah, I'll help anyway. Good for future reference.
    1. Get the rom.
    2. Get the patch.
    3. Get XDelta.
    4. Once you have XDelta, start it up.
    5. First "slot" thing, select the patch.
    6. Second "slot", select the rom.
    7. Third slot, select the destination of the new patched rom.
    8. Click patch.
    9. AND THEN IT HATH BEEN DONE!

    Saw that you quoted me. I have no cycloDS. Mine is R4DS and it work. But if you wish to give it a shot. If you want to try YSMENU or Wood, check out my past posting on page 18 at the bottom. Hopefully can help though I'm not sure cause I don't own a cycloDS.

    Here's a simple patcher than xDelta for those of you who lack computer know-how:

    How to:
    1. Download the patch, latest to date is V4. Download the appropriate patch. If your game is Black then download Black Patch. Simple as that.
    2. Unpack the patch download, you'll see a single file ICON.
    3. Drag your game "xxxx.nds" or whatever you had named it on top of that ICON, does not matter if its pre-patched. It can work just fine.
    4, Wait until 2 things happen. --> 1. a '.nds.bak' file appear; 2. a 'patch done' box appear
    5. Once you see those 2 things happen. Take the '.nds' file not the '.nds.bak'. put it back into your cart. And its done.
    6. If you prefer to use the '.nds.bak' file. Simply replace the '.nds' in your cart with the '.nds.bak' one but once inside your cart, remove the '.bak' so that it end with only the '.nds'.

    Have you tried editing the character names with this?

    Its CloneCharizard's version of POKESAV B/W. May be this could help edit the names too aside from the items and pokemon names. Its a beta version still under constant updating. For latest update please refer to CloneCharizard's forum page or Google it.

    **Additional info**

    I read somewhere that if you want your pokemon b/w cheat file to be read by Eng-patched versions, you must:
    1. download by Google-ing --> ttdt.exe
    2. find out the Game ID of the Eng-Patched version you are using
    3. Open ttdt.exe to open your extlib.DAT and infolib.DAT to change the Game ID.
    4. Save it and replace

    I think they should work on key points in the translating so it would be easier to know where/what to do, but amazinmg job so far.

    or easier way open up your cheat file using r4cce click your game (pokemon b lack/white) and where gameid is selected click the ... button and locate to your english rom go file save and add the new cheat file to your cart.:) easy took 3 minutes/less for me

    I tried R4 CCE, it crashed on me when I try to open the cheat file. Do you by chance have a link to the latest cheat file that can be use with the v3 English pre-patched? Cause the one I got is from Kiekoes on around the time the game released. Thx.

    I tried to unlock pokeshifter with my v3 patched rom and it wouldn't unlock... i think it was because the words were changed to english. is that possible... because when i looked up the kanji words they came up in english.

    Edit: Nvm, I got it :)
