  9. Thanx. But the issue of the ROM crashing after a certain amount of time is still there.

I'm excited. Getting a new DS tomorrow + ordered Supercard DSTWO. :) 3-5 day shipping FTW. Hopefully it will come Wednesday. :(

Anyone using R4DS ever tried this?

    http://r4li.com/download/r4_v1.25_kernel.html

The link is for a R4 Kernel said to be the latest for R4DS original v.1.25 (2010). For the R4i, in the link said its latest kernel version is v.1.26. I'm still using the v.1.18. In the site, they claim its working for the latest pokemon games. But after I downloaded it, I saw the _system_ folder is lacking of several things. Anyone ever tested it?

DeSmuME can't handle Black City/White Forest, buildings/trees not rendering, alternating between the two.

    lols.

Damn prectorian, that was only a solution for original R4's that is long obsolete. Just use Wood v1.14 and enjoy the fact that your cart has good firmware.

Cool down Nathan, have a break have a KIT KAT.....I was merely asking, ha3x. I saw that while browsing the R4 sites and though may be they made a newer one, who knows! Haven't you heard about "curiousity taking over"? I'd already knew you would be the one who will respond each time someone ask about R4DS. Glad to hear from you.

I'd downloaded the Wood R4 v.1.14 and installed it yesteday. I haven't notice anything distinctive from the v.1.13, except for the fact the _DS_MENU.DAT got less data in it which makes me feel odd using it. And the fact it still won't run PKM Ranger GS unless patched with xDelta. But heck I don't need Wood R4 to run my Pokemon games now. I'd it all working in YSMENU already ever since I editted the extinfo and infolib.

I just use Wood. It fixes all the games I actually want to play, and it has no issues with ever present patches.

True, but I don't quite like the interface. Though the skins are better looking than YSMENU, that I have to agree.

I found the interface to be a big upgrade from YSMenu. YSMenu is plagued by the old school file browsing system long abandoned by most flash carts as a primary way of choosing what to play. To be fair, I found it to be relatively hideous. xD

In a sense yes the interface is nice, especially with more skin options compared to YSMENU. But for simplicity I'd still put my money on YSMENU. Not to mention the fact you don't need to stick with xDelta patcher such in the case of WOOD. But enough of that. Do you have any info about Star Ocean going into NDS? I saw that on a gaming site, but to date there's been no update.

People just love to make patches that work only with xDelta. It isn't just Wood, it's the patch. I personally find the xDelta GUI to be very easy to use.

Don't think Star Ocean ever made it to the DS.

Oh! Too bad, I'd been hoping to play that, cause I had problem downloading PSP roms to play on emulators...too large file to download. Anyway, got to go.... I just drop by today to check if KazoWar has a newer patch, which seems he won't be uploading one for a while. Later......
