    Pokemon is working fine for me on wood 1.13 on my original r4

    oh and btw, i dont know how to put wood on my R4 or YSmenu that well, sorta terrible with new firmware

    Remove all firmware files from your cart, put the ones in from the above download.

    You'll have a folder called _rpg on the root with a DSMENU.dat or something like that as the other file.

    I just extracted the files and put them on the SD card. I don't use ysmenu though so I can't help you there.

    Try my post on page 193 (for YSMENU) or 119 (for Wood R4). I'm using R4DS Original too. You must also already upgraded your cart to the 1.18v kernel. Just copy all the downloaded file except the .txt and you should be ok.

    PS: For the Wood R4 you must download 2 .rar files from that link. 1 contain the TTMENU and all its components, and the other is the LOADME! file that contain the WOOD R4.NDS. Its all in the forum page from CoolKill3r that I posted in page 119.

    ** Original R4DS v.1.18 can use both the YSMENU and Wood R4 all in 1 cart at the same time. You don't need to remove the Wood R4 if you want to use YSMENU. All you need to do is just make sure that whatever file you downloaded for WOOD R4, all place into the __rpg folder including the Wood R4.nds. Especially the Wood R4's _DS_MENU.DAT. Just place that .DAT for Wood into the __rpg folder too. Also for Wood R4 users must turn off the Wood's in-menu soft reset option found under START at the bottom screen of the Wood R4.NDS once loaded.

    so im using a r4 clone, with wood r4 installed to it. i have the latest english patch for pokemon black (V3). When i load the game up i can get all the way to "new game", but after it asks which alphabet to use "english or kanji" (i chose both) the game freezes. anyone can help me with this problem. X )

    Why do you have to click both English and Kanji? Click just 1, click the English button if you're using the English Patched version. Try patching the .nds file you got with Rudolph's Child Play Patch version 4. You don't need a clean rom, just use the one you are using. Its in page 193 of this forum under my username. Hopefully it solve your problem.

    That English button you saw was actually named Kana as in short for Hiragana and Katakana. Japanese use 3 kinds of 'alpabetical' sets. Hiragana is use for Japanese orginated words as for Katakana are sound duplicating alphabets for foreign orginated words, mostly English orginated words. That Kanji option is of no use if you are using the English patched version, pressing it will cause freeze.

    i can save in my other games with this version and i have an r4 clone.
    The only thing is pkmn black/white hangs after the intro of professor.
