Here's Kaarosu's forum page talking about how to solve DSTT Error Code -4 for the Eng translated patch and what's the ROM ID he used for those wondering about it.

Don't ask me about DSTT.NDS cause I'm using a R4DS v1.18 Original with TTDS on YSMENU.NDS and Wood R4.NDS, and I've decided to skip the Eng. patch though I keep following its progress and download the patch files for later use. Cause I'm afraid it might be removed if I don't download it while possible. And I'm quite happy for now to be able to emulate both black and white on my version of YSMENU and Wood R4.

Those of you looking for YSMENU and WOOD R4 that I am using may go and check my past posting on this tread forum at page 119 (WOOD R4) and page 193 (YSMENU). Remember that it may not work on your cart!

In it are 4 versions of patches; v1, v2, v3, and v4. I'm using the v4. now. If you had patched your rom using Rudolph's older version, you can still repatch it using the newer version. I've done that and it works fine. Remember! Most people think that once they see '.bak' thinks the patching process is done. Its not! You must wait until a pop up dialog box says "Patch Complete" or "Patch Done".

** If I recall correctly, the READ ME file in v4 mentioned about fixing the Union Room!**

I don't use the Union Room cause I've no friend who have NDS Console to play with. So it makes no difference for me on this case.

Don't ask for ROM links to which version I'm using. I can't provide it any longer. I think I have posted it some where within this tread pages which I don't recall which page it was. But 1 thing is certain, the black one that I use was King_Leo's. While the white is from another site.

 

1. Make a duplicate of both the rom and the save file from your cart for back up.
2. remove the rom from the cart and place it with the patch in 1 folder
3. Use the patch from the one I posted above from Rudolph on page 199, download the latest v.4
4. Patch it. and then return the patched rom into your cart.
5. Make sure the re-patched rom's name is the same as the save file in your cart.

**NOTE:** xDelta GUI will require clean rom to patch with newer patch version. But your save file can still be use as long as the name of the rom and the save file is the same. Back-up for safety!

 

Why look through 200 pages when its just 5 posts above what you wrote. I mentioned which page you should look for if you need WOOD R4 and/or YSMENU. But apparently almost everyone who goes to this forum hardly ever bother to look at the past threads, which is quite a pain since we who post these does not get any attention.

PS: whether you can install Wood R4 and/or YSMENU is a different story altogether as it depands on which R4 you have. Not all R4 can run it. And you will need to patch it. The link to the patch is just above your post.
