Pokémon Black & White AP Thread

    Hey, is it normal for my DS to get a little hot when I'm playing this game? It seems that when I have the C-Gear turned on, my DS gets abnormally hot. It's not too hot, but it's definately warmer than normal. =0

    Edit: offtopic -> that damned Wheel of Fortune advertisement is annoying as HELL , with those random clicking sounds

    that doesn't sound normal =O what flashcart? if it's an N5(i think it was the brick card...) be expecting a brick soon ::)

    I don't have an N5. I'm too smart to purchase an obvious fake and rip-off of the original R4, which can end up rendering my DS useless. I know those things are brickers. I have an Acekard 2i. The heat MAY be because my DS is charging, but it shouldn't get this warm.

    You add it all in like if you were adding a ROM
    then start up ur R4i, then selesc TTDS.NDS
    then go to Pokemon Black/White and the game will load :D
    Make sure you have latest R4i firmware 1.25b

    Just curious, is there an English patch? I don't mean completely English but enough for me to understand since I can't read Japanese :'(

    There is currently a patch in progress primarily based around getting everything battle related done. The first version of the patch should be out in a couple of days.

    Translations don't happen overnight though. These games were VERY recently released, so a full translation won't exist for MONTHS at least, or if it goes like HG/SS, we won't see a full one at all before the (U) release.

    The game is enjoyable and quite playable without any knowledge of Japanese though. I'm proof of that. :p

    Honestly, I don't think anybody who speaks English could tell you. Not many have beaten this game yet, and even fewer have figured out the secrets due to it being in a rather complicated foreign language.

    I've got the R4i SDHC Happy Box edition. Does anyone know of a working Cheat Code editor for it? I've been looking, but I can't find one. Also, is it possible to use codes through TTmenu? I know before, everyone was saying to turn the 'CHEATS' option off while playing, but I'm curious if that still applies.

    Obviously nobody else is having that issue.

    Try to back up and format and make sure you're using your latest firmware.

    Here's the link to the latest YSMENU that can run Pokemon White and Black ROM. The site is in Thai language, so you'll need to Google Translate it if you don't understand Thai. There's a link to download the file from anonym.to site.

    The file name is 'YSMENUR421092010(HY2)FixV2.rar'. Sorry I can't directly provide the download link as VividBoy and Super Admin from happy2you.net does not allow doing so.

    PS: The right link is the one below the 4th NDS console screen picture shown on the happy2you.net site page.

    Inside the extracted file are:
    1. TTMENU (the same TTMENU folder that's circulating under the name 'Unofficial DSTT Kernel_v117a13_rev32')
    2. TTMENU.SYS
    3, YSMENU.NDS
    4. YSMENU.SAV
    5. YSMENU.ARP

    What you need to do is just replace the TTMENU folder and YSMENU folder with the one in the downloaded file. What I did was a bit different. Here's what it look like in my cartridge:
    1. TTMENU folder
    2. YSMENU.ARP
    3. TTMENU.SYS
    4. YSMENU folder --> place the YSMENU.NDS and YSMENU.SAV in it along with Kiekoes's Cheats

    I also add Kiekoes's cheat data base found on page 1 into the YSMENU folder so that I have cheats for pokemon white and black. (Thanks to Kiekoes for the cheat database)

    If you want, you can also add R4dldi.DAT (97KB) from Pong's TTMENU folder named '13032-Latest DAT v.6.30' into the YSMENU folder. *<--Not necessary* (Thanks to Pong and Retro for updating TTDS and DSTT)

    When you load the YSMENU.NDS at the bottom it should read as 'R4YSauto 0.02'. (Thanks to VividBoy H2Y for updating Yasu's Menu)

    PS: You might need to pre-patch the black/white rom using Rudolph's Patch. Here's Rudolph's working patch for both the black and white version. Use appropriate file according to what rom you use (Thanks to Rudolph for the patch);

    O_Q So now I can run the pokemon white and black roms on both my wood R4 and YSMENU.......So happy! It took me 2-3 days to figure out how to update YSMENU/TTMENU.....yes....I'm so retarded to realize its so simple! Silly me!

    *Forget about using Pong's TTMENU.NDS for you R4DS Original user...it just don't work. Stick with YSMENU.NDS. And you don't need to upgrade your moonshell like those using R4i SDHC. COOL HUH?!*
    Don't ask me about R4 clones or other flash cart. I only can answer R4DS Original and NDS UNC N-Card Firelink.

    One other thing....what's cool is if you've been playing the pokemon rom on Wood R4, you can continue the game in YSMENU without having any problem. But you still can't direct play the game through your main R4 menu!
