that's ok, but laura i just read your previous post again, and you say you still have the "lil red menu chip", so that still means

your DS is looking for the firmware, empty your microSD card onto the desktop, format your microSD card, and then put your firmware back on

 

in my opinion the cyclods evo is easier

 

tbh, anything is easier than these R4's

 

but i think the r4 looks better

 

I've deleted everything on the card now so it's blank, the firmware i put on there got me past the chip on the DS but only to two black screens that were stuck on loading and then put the red light on. Where would you advise i get the correct firmware from?
This is not the simple process it was sold to me as.....

 

laura, all your downloads, download to your desktop, once extracted with winrar they can just be put onto your micrSD card

well i think you shouldve gotten a simpler card because the original r4 team stopped making new builds and there have been many clones like r4sdhc that get your attention and dont work and i have an r4sdhc from the same site with no problems ill upload the files i have on it except for the roms and you can try it

 

I just got was i was given i dont really know about different types of cards, which would you recommend that would be easy to use? can you get them that are just ready to go and dont need these firmware things on or is that an idiotic thing to ask?
