As OnyxKnight says, you need "A" or "START" button to start a new game.No need of "X" button.

I don't think you can use your JAP save for EUR/USA save.Nonetheless, try this usual method:
Rename your .dsv(desume save file in battery folder) of pokemon black to .sav(for no$gba) or keep it .dsv for desume.Point to note is you have to rename the save file name to USA/EUR rom's name.
Eg: My EUR rom's name is "std-pokemonblack".Save file for no$gba pack would be "std-pokemonblack.sav" or "std-pokemonblack.dsv" for desume.

  2. Yeah I'd at least like to try. I tried to look for the desume battery folder, but i can't find it. I would just save in the game, and when i reloaded it, it would have the save. I also save stated my progress, but it came out as a .dst file. I don't know what else to do. I tried to load the save state in desume over the english game but it froze. it worked for a little bit though. I was thinking about converting the file.

You can't find the "Battery" folder? O_O
It's most wierd thing I've ever heard.

Save state file for DeSmuMe is .dst, while for the in-game save, it was named as .dsv
If you can't find it on your BATTERY folder(or if it doesn't exist), check your Path Settings for the SaveRam.

Nah, not really. It happen for some people.

I'm sorry for the confusion. I meant that when I already pressed the "Start" button, the "Press Start" text disappeared from the top screen, but the Pokemon Black logo (and the pokemon screensaver below the DS screen) remained. That's when I thought of pressing "X" (as you recommended from your earlier post), and other buttons also, but no luck in launching the game..

Just to illustrate, kindly check below.

    [1] Before pressing "Start":

[2] After pressing "Start" (the Enter key is in my control configuration for "Start"):

I'm stuck with that state [2] above, tried all the buttons, but none worked.

  7. Yeah I don't think I have a battery. Whatever I'm just going to have to restart, I'll get over it. Thanks anyways guys.

I've played it on no$gba 2.6a and everything worked fine up until a random battle. It wasn't a freeze, but I couldn't click on anything in the battle menu (the Fight! text didn't even appear) and the top battle screen's camera would move slowly back and forth.

I figured it's some sort of anti-piracy thing. Has anyone else come across this?

Just finished Black's Elite Four yesterday evening(caught Reshiram in a Pokeball), using nocash and zoomer as well as Black all downloaded from the first post. I had one freeze before I began using Zoomer, afterward I played for hours (I have around forty total) with no issues whatsoever...and my computer is slow, pathetic RAM and Video, and also Windows XP :/
Frankly, I'm surprised it runs at all. I am wondering though, can nocashZoomer actually save state like Desmume?

    Thanks again, maxmahito.

No, it can't state save like desmume. And glad to know you've beat elite four. You've a long way to go still, though ;)

Yeah, few people got this, they went missing, probably their problem was solved. This may be a glitch.Using patched ROM?

    Okay, enjoy!

That's the famous freeze after starting the game, huh? Many freezers experienced that.Switch over to Desmume, if you can to bypass that freeze and after playing for some time in desmume, switch back to no$pack by using the save extension renaming.Point to notice is use PATCHED rom with no cheat in desmume.Patch is available in first post.

Yeah, I wish I could get my friend code and whatnot...I have heard DeSmume can, is it true? But then, I don't think it runs fast enough for me to utilize if so. Just curious, I guess. If I can't trade I'll have to catch every pokemon one by one with a cheat, and I dislike cheating...except to battle a Pokemon/Obtain POWER items to make EV Training go quicker.

hmmm...interesting. I'll have to get a better computer as soon as possible.
Also, I went to the PC a moment ago, and the game froze, a black and blue screen saying turn the power off" or some like...it was after I received new wallpapers for doing something. Anyone else have this?

OK, I'll try this out. And inform you if I still encounter problems. Thanks again!

EDIT: Tried DeSmuME, and the game worked. I tried copying the .dsv save file from this and transferred it to no$gba2.6a, by renaming the saved file to .sav, with the filename exactly the same with the .nds file I'm using with no$gba2.6a. Tried launching the game using no$zoomer and applying the cheat, but still the same state as I've described in my screenshot above. I guess the save file I had with DeSmuME didn't load.. Just informed this though, I'll continue playing in DeSmuME and inform if the game freezes after sometime.

Desmume gives you a perfect play through until you mess it up with wifi or such things.I've played my black on that and game's over.(Not completed filling pokedex though). If you use wifi, be warned.Game becomes truly slow.

And yeah, abou that no$gba, it's common to not work.Trial and error with ROM(s) and a settings can change that to better.

I have the same problem as tomikomiyu, only on white. I am using nocashgba, made sure i had all the right AR codes, deleted that .ini file, starts from the cartridge, but when I get to the screen with Zekrom and PRESS START, after I press start or A, it just seemingly stays on the same screen, Zekrom is still moving, and my rom did not crash. Its not frozen. Its like it registered my start/A, but it won't continue.

I booted from nocashzoomer by the way.

Sorry for the double post, but i read here http://wiki.desmume.org/index.php?title=Faq that pokemon games are not supported on desmume? Not like its an option, i have a poor graphics card and processor.

PC freeze did not occur twice in a row, just the once. Today it is fine.

I'm sorry, no perfect solution for that yet.Trying Desmume and switching between emulators is the only solution.

    Hmm, that's good.

Well, time to pray that Desmume works on me! Thank you!

Edit: Bah, emulators hate me. Whenever I click start rom (its the patched version) it says it loaded, that desmume dev said. But no images show up and pressing pause or play doesn't change anything, or resetting the cartridge.
