if you have on mind that the 3D effect on 3DS works by sending diferent images for both eyes, having only one eye will prolly screw up with the effect right?

A british politician I follow on twitter took his kids to see a 3d movie, he only has one functioning eye, and he said to him it was like a normal film only the picture quality was appalling. (because his eye/brain weren't compositing the two images into a 3d image, so he was essentially seeing two images on top of each other with one slightly offset). His exact tweet was 'I've seen the future of television, and I can't see it!'

If possible, would he be able to see the 3D of the 3DS with only his one functioning eye?

I think it requires two eyes, since viewing the 3DS's 3D through a video shows a double vision-type effect.

I don't know, but I would have to say I doubt it.

I was planning to get this for my pet 1-eyed ogre, but now the birthday surprise is totally ruined.

Well you can always turn off the DS effect :V

From what I've read in a interview, the 3D effect is optinal for both the players and the developers.
Maybe some games aren't 3D at all.

My eyes are fine but the last 3d movie I saw bothered me throughout the whole thing. The images weren't stitched up properly and I could still see a faint ghost.

I think thats a symptom of it being converted to 3d rather than actually being filmed in 3d.

Just buy or rent it on DVD. The 3D doesn't really enhance it.

to my knowledge, legend of the guardians is CGI, which would suggest that it was in fact converted after the fact.
