Piano Hero - I'm not joking.

Yep, Rock Band is about the whole band experience with guitar, bass, drums, and vocals.

 

there was also a donkey kong drum game for the SNES/NES/64? I cant remember which one but it involved beating a drum to make kong jump or something....

NZ still hasnt got rock band though have heard the drum kit is crap and breaks easy as, also the drum pads are way too loud. Hopefully they'll fix it up a bit in Rock Band 2, which I will enjoy on my PS4 here in NZ. (for anyone who didnt get that, rockband is being released here when rockband2 gets released everywhere else, hence by the time rockband2 get released here it will probably be on the PS4 lol).

I believe it was called Donkey Conga, also I think the new Guitar Hero is supposed to have drums, too.

Guitar Hero 4 is going to have drums and others I think.

Yeah I know Almo 2 is coming out soon, it'll be 2 or 3 years before that comes out here Also, the drums aren't meant to be hit so hard, like some drummers do like Brad Wilk or Metallicas one who even bleeds from drumming too hard.

As for my opinion on this, no, for the love of god, NO!

There are problems with this concept: too many columns and keys to coordinate with, and given that much columns, it would be very difficult to make a decent notechart without fucking up the fun factor and challenge for players.

If you want a fun "Piano/keyboard-hero" like game, go play O2Jam or DJMax.

its that even humanly possible?..... DJMax is a good game they have really nice song there...but i cant even beat the easy mode.....its too hard and yet there is some vet play them like its nothing....

Anyways, this wouldn't work so well. It wouldn't have the placement/pick aspect that Guitar Hero has. Plus, many more songs have a guitar lead than a keyboard/piano lead in most modern genres. Keyboards would work well in Rock Band or whatever if it doesn't already have it, but as a stand-alone idea, it wouldn't sell like GH.

 

There used to be a program called Piano Hero but then activision sued them and filed a law suit against the name because it sounded like Guitar Hero. The programs now called Synthesia and it uses midi's to help you learn piano and you can connect it up to your keyboard via midi in/out. It's actually really fun and satisfying to play it. Synthesia just acts like a normal rhythm game (lane with keys flying down for you to press when it hits the line)

 

im on grade 6 piano n i wud find piano hero a gud game maybe.

Piano Hero would be great on the DS

 

I'd hate to see a Piano Hero synced up to all the 80+ keys. One gripe would be that it would be hard for it all to appear onscreen (and if it does get properly pulled off, bravo) and the biggest gripe would be that it would be as hard as actually learning to play the actual instrument.

Anyone remember Beatmania with the DJ Turntables? That's a good example of what Piano Hero would be like with the utmost realism.

They should have stopped at drums. DJ and the up coming ones are soo worthless!
