i changed the file name too. said it couldnt find save file

 

That's because when you load a game on a firmware, the save file is usually titled the exact same as the actual rom, only it's a .sav file. You need to change the .sav 's filename too.

Can someone upload a prepatched rom? I have Linux and have no idea how to patch it on Linux >.< So it would be cool if someone did that

Good, because there isn't a patch for the other one yet. I think there should be a patch for that one soon though (don't quote me on that, I could just be getting my hopes up, but seeing as though there is a patch for this one, no one will really care about the second one) and just post the link when you get it uploaded

I'm using an R4 (regular, not the new one) with 1.8 FW and I have no problem getting either dump (Xenophobia or Bahamut) to run, however, I do have trouble with online.
Friend codes just won't work. People I add are always shown offline (even though they ARE online) and people who add me also always see me offline. Oddly enough, matchmaking/free play does work fine, and friend codes worked well on the JP version of the game too.

Anyone know more about this problem?

sorry slow comp put ill keep u updated unless some one beats me 2 it. the regular rom needs 4 mins to download, its gonna be uploaded to rapidshare
