I wish that were true but I did some swapping and I can confirm that the Hylian Shield is NOT in the game. What I did was take my save data from the US version and used it for the Japan version, then back to the US version. Now you do get a shield that kinda looks like the Hylian Shield but still nothing like the real thing. The item your talking about is a different shield which is in both versions of the game. I'll upload a pic of what the shield looks like, along with the picture of the one that was mentioned before.

Dam still theres a slight chance the leak wands in the game though I dont think it is considering most of the other funny codes are gone.
