sorry for late reply, i look around for what would happen if psu not enough power and it says that the pc wont reboot if power is too low and wouldn't cause freezing. still cant fix the issue. installed speedfan gpu reads 40 degree but cpu says -69 degree. how could there be negative temperature, went bios and it says both core are running at about 30 degrees each. went to calculate power requirement using online power supply and it says i need less than 300W. any other suggestions? should i buy a new power supply?

A new power supply might be a good idea, but IIRC my 9600GT simply uses less power if not enough is available.

the problem is finally fixed. i went and talk to another guy from a different store and he told me couldn't be power supply since he said the psu that came with my power supply is a good true power psu and 9600gt is not power hungry. then he ruled overheating, ram and then he said might be a faulty video card. so i listened to him and brought it back. the guy replaced it with another brand video card but still 9600gt. the one i got now is msi 9600gt. installed it on my computer and voila, run flawlessly. no freezing anymore. thanks everyone for their help and if anyone who encounter similar problem, it means BROKEN VIDEOCARD!
