    It's a distro and it's bloated shit.
Opera runs like a lethargic slug on Ubuntu, it's terrible.
Not to mention it's almost identical to Firefox without the wide range of add-ons.

opera widgets and add-ons makes Ur web experiences much more better than other browser while still offering a good loading speed. #just saying

firefox has tens of thousands of add-ons. so I very much doubt opera has a significantly better experience than firefox.

Is it just me or was anybody else disappointed by the lack of opera singing when they clicked this thread?

Err, then Windows is way worse with it's preinstalled crap... Windows Mail without Hotmail FTW, sample media FTW, loads of other shit you don't need FTW.

At least Ubuntu gives you the option to remove (not disable) everything in it, including the browser (I wish you could do this in Windows so I could get rid of IE).

Actually it runs faster then all other browsers here...

Oh and not to forget, it was just MY opinion.

    lol

Opera is...complete without add-ons. Firefox falls down in the terms of features (WITHOUT add-ons).

    Me too. =o

No lol, what did you buy? Retail? lmao
Get a better linux distro, if you don't want Windows.

You have to remove it all manually, which you can do with retail windows... I don't see what you're getting at.

Faster than Chromium or Firefox 4? I doubt it.

HAHAHAHA, what are you on about? So's Firefox 4, I don't see any adblock plus or noscript on Opera, though. =P

The only reason why Opera seems to be faster at loading pages is because it has this feature that they claim can increase your browsing speed. And in a way it's kinda true. Back when I was still on dial up Opera was what I was using & it does speed up page loading, that is until the browser chokes because it can't load the page faster because the net transfer speed can not catch up to the browser.

Google Chrome = best for me!
Browsers are personal opinion and not WHICH IS THE BEST ONE?
If you like eg Opera 11, that is good for you but I don't like it. Chrome is epic in my eyes and in other people there eyes Chrome s*cks b*llz.

    So pointless topic here.

They really need to work on the ADD ons. v13 BETA is quite good with it but not THAT good

    I totally agree :)

Chrome is good according to some people, but when I tried it the browser assploded on me.

It does. Just some DLLs are left, which are needed.
For all practical purposes, they are removed.

@Radical Ed: err, Ubuntu is the most known distribution, and certainly better then distributions running KDE IMO. KDE looks bad (and omg it is too).

Firefox does not have Ad block+ either in an unmodified installation...

@paranoia: that does not remove the whole installation thus rather disables it.

As I said, for all practical purposes, it is removed.
It only exists as a few necessary DLL files used in other programs...

    re·move/riˈmo͞ov/
Verb: Take away (something unwanted or unnecessary) from the position it occupies.

    ^ It certainly is removed.
