ok, so did we ever come up with what is different in the two versions for sure? if i buy the old version, but only need the serial because of my trial, will it still work?

i don't really like old,old tv. only as far as raymond and friends- they are the boundaries of oldish tv shows i watch.

lol, new cars or old cars?

Old cars. Definitely easier to work with. I don't have to dismantle the entire engine just to do a simple spark plug change.

I feel that every car (80s and up) has bronchial tubes the size of coffee stirs. All that lost horsepower and efficiency out the window because someone wanted cleaner emissions.

new versions are modified versions of the old ones..... so obviously the new ones will be better
most of the times that is

sometimes, however they forget what made the old version so good and they add all these crappy bits instead. that's when i don't like newer versions.

Look at AIM 5.2, and then look at AIM 6 and up.
Look at IE6 compared to IE7. (Look at RX-7 to RX-8)
Look at the older PS3s compared to the newer ones.
Look at Microsoft Office 2003 compared to 2007.
    XP to Vista?

I could go on and on.

Newer Star Wars to Older Star Wars?
    I think not...hehe.

Never ever used Yahoo messenger, or MSN.

Adobe Acrobat Reader 5, compared to 7 or 8, or 9.
Faster, and basically the same thing.

I hear iTunes has some anti-piracy shit going on?
    Never updating that again...

Older WoW to newer WoW. I don't like the new expansion...

    DSi firmware 1.3 to 1.4 :D

    Newer is not always better.

so you think.. the only reason they update it is to make it better, its just your opinion its not better because you're not getting what you want from it but just what it was made for it being improved and all the flaws gone...

    Rephrase that.

I think the biggest kick to the balls is the new DSi firmware, whose only function was to knock out flashcart users. So you're saying that the anti-piracy update is good?

New is not always the best.

Oh, and new versions are not always modified versions of the older ones.

Vista is a completely different operating system, and we all agree that Vista sucks compared to XP.
