No NDS downloads?

You don't. Just don't log in again. Scramble the password into some sort of jumbled mess and change the email to one you can't access if you want to make damn sure you can't come back.

 

That's not rude, quite a few people came here just for the nds games i'm sure.

Personally, I'm going to use my large accumulation of points to get myself some other roms, while taking advantage of the retro roms.
Plus, the IRC is fun.

It is more like aggravated. Why come to the forums to make even a minor fuss about the NDS roms being gone? If they were the only reason you came, and you rarely posted, nobody would notice your disappearance.

I would like to think most people come here for more the community rather then the roms, so it is only natural to feel frustrated just a bit when somebody basically comes in and says "Fuck you all, I've gotten all the use I'm gonna get out of this place.".

 

Well he posted asking how to close his account, not really to say fuck you to anyone. I'm sure there are many who don't even know the forum on here even exists. Hell the only reason i came here was because it had really fast uploads for new nds games.

 

I just can't read that in a way that doesn't make the person sound like they are acting like a dick. As I previously stated, there is no reason for that post to even exist. He just as easily could have deleted the bookmark and never come back again. Plus, coming into a topic where questions are supposed to be answered and support given just to say "I'm leaving, bye people" feels just a little off. How will other people feel if one of the first posts they see upon entering is somebody leaving? That could easily persuade them to think the same and abandon the site.

Anyways, like I said before, if you were just here for self interest and find the site "useless" now, good riddance.

The forums are very easy to find really. It is hard to miss the big tab labeled "Forum" on the main site. It is just people don't really feel they should give back in any way shape or form. I realize they don't have too, but you are getting hundreds of dollars of games for free. The least the person could do is say "Thanks for everything you've given me," in some form.

okay, let me get this straight, (i refuse to read 20 pages of text i'm sry) ESA cracked down on romulation and now we cant download anymore? (trust me i'm just as shocked as everyone else and i wanted to know why this happened)

 

You do make a valid point about his post.

Calm down man, it's a rom site, it's very easy to come here only for roms.

Posting on the forum is in no way, shape, or form giving back to the site, you seem to hold the forum on a huge plateau, when really it's just a side part of a room site. It's nice that you hold the forum to such regard, but not everyone feels that way. Pretty much everyone came here because f the roms, eventually those who post here found the forum.

I came here about a year ago just for the fast new nds roms, Granted now that they are gone from the main site i won't be leaving, no real reason to leave, especially since people will still post the new nds roms on the forum.

 

Well, can't download NDS roms, but yeah, that is pretty much it.

This happened because somebody complained to the ESA, so the ESA brought the hammer down on RomUlation "asking" them to remove all roms created by game companies that were partnered with the ESA. This is the better part of the NDS section, and is still being sorted through. If they choose to put back the roms not covered by this giant cease and desist, I can guarantee that most of them will probably be shovelware for the most part.

The forum is easily the best place to give back without being in a release group. You can help find and supply AP patches, roms that aren't hosted by RomU yet, and just help people in getting the best flash cart for their money. I don't know about you, but I find that to be a pretty solid form of giving back for the free service that you so readily took advantage of.

Although the forums aren't wonderful, they are pretty much the only part of the site after the roms. Except for the rom section the main site doesn't have a whole lot of substance.

I understand just coming for roms, it is just the wording when choosing to leave. Really, no words are best if you're going to leave. If you entered in silence, and stayed in silence, it is really best to just leave in silence.

 

man there seems to be always that one guy to ruin it but hey, they cant stop all the piracy in the world and i looked forward to this site for nds rom becz i did like to play them before i buy them but now that this happened...anyways i hoped that ESA wouldnt have gotten here but idk....I'll still come here for new roms anyways and to see the great community here, best rom site i've seen and i hope to see the new pokemon rom and a couple of other games here as well in certain threads hopefully

 

Its really not that big of a deal, so now we have to put in 2 minutes of work for a free meal? As long as Romulation keeps a current list of rom's with their release information, I will defiantly still come here often. I just went to the NDS list, found information on two titles I wanted, and with in a few seconds were downloading them elsewhere on the internet. Its not that bad. Having a place with a master list of rom names and release ID's is all that matters. Honestly, I could live with out that too, but don't want to have to look all over the place for game release dates and then spend day after day searching to see if the rom was finally released. If this site just keeps a current list of whats out there elsewhere, it will be just fine. Not the end of the world.

 

Ah well. All good things eventually come to an end. It was fun while it lasted.
Honestly I can say that I never even glanced at this forum until five minutes ago, and I'm genuinely surprised at how awesome this community is by poking through threads here and there.
So even if all the NDS roms are gone, Romulation has gained a new member

 

That is right, what we need now is a rom masterlist.
Hope romulation still keep its list current
