    Chuck Norris doesn't need Money!
He's the one who crashed the Economy just because he was bored and wanted to laugh at all the little mortals!
I'd say it would cost at least half of the RU forum population's Souls for him to even let us talk to him about it.

"The goal of RomUlation has always been to provide users with an opportunity to try out games in order to determine whether it is a game worth purchasing or not. We have always respected when publishers or developers felt RomUlation did more harm than good to the sales of their product.

The owner of this game contacted us with concerns that our service was doing more harm than good, so as per our goal and beliefs we have complied with their request to remove their intellectual property.

This currently covers ALL of the NDS games.

We understand that this may frustrate users who were looking for new games to test but we hope you also understand that this is both necessary and in accordance with our beliefs. "

    That is the message given

    it's just an idea,

we can not remove all the ds games and then just start again at another location on the site
or could not do that by ESA?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this...

The only ones we have to blame are ourselves. We are stealing from the companies that make these games, and it is there choice whether or not they decide to take action or not. We are lucky the ESA hasn't done anything more than a C&D on romulation, and have not started tracking our IP's to make us pay for what we have stolen.

I for one am not about to stop downloading roms, even if I have to search a little harder, but I will always know in the back of my mind that I am taking from these corporations, and if I am penalized for it, then so be it, it was my own fault.

So stop saying how much of a douche the ESA is, since they only did their job.

Are we allowed to post other rom sites? If so, could someone link me to a good rom site like this?

Not allowed to post other rom sites. You can request a certain game in the request forum and if someone has it they'll upload it to a file sharing site.

Yep i hate ESA as much as the next guy (only because they make great games harder to make which i recently found out) here, but in the end we are in the wrong and im lucky they did not track our IP's thanks for bringin on that fact i feel that alot of us here needed to see that.

Turn 16, get a drivers license, drive to a local Best Buy, look in the DS aisle and locate the games you want. Then you pick them up, wait in the checkout line and pay for your games.

this site is popular for a reason and its not because of people that buy ds games

Lol. Without people who don't buy games, many of the roms wouldn't be dumped.

im just saying(for the millionth time, not just on this thread) piracy helps sell consoles and i believe nintendo profits might actually go down if all roms are unobtainable. whos's gonna buy a ds if say a psp has roms downloadable and ds doesn't? maybe not this year but next few years when the 3ds is out i really think nintendo will let older roms go or will die

Goddamnit, what about the third party companies?

  18. msg2009

    msg2009 Romulations sexiest member

who cares? if nintendo carry on they wont be any companies because sony aint stupid they will let some piracy slide to sell millions of consoles and all 3rd parties will be bought up or unable to sustain themselves. all games would go to sony.
im talking about worst case scenario obviously, but its very very plausible

What the hell are you talking about?

Third party companies depend on game sales.

im just talking worst case scenario and saying a total ban on nintendo roms will kill gaming. at least for nintendo.
this is all on opinion by the way, i dont want people jumping on me, just think about it it
