Either way though, you suffer. By going after your parents, it will directly affect you. In the end, they are getting you for pirating. ;)

I've been to JDC before, no big deal.... that's probably all they'll do to me. 0_o not really much of a risk, main reason, is that i'll get my record erased when i turn 21. 0_o

My guess is this will drive people back to the usernet, there were and still are plenty of roms in the newsgroups, they are pretty hard to police as well......

I find just taking the archive name and popping that into Google gives me a perfect link to the rom.

My apologies to the few people I offended in my previous post, I thought to take the 'wind out of your sails' not piss you off or demean you. Sorry.

Usenet is great for sharing but as Loony points out, a little tricky to navigate. Regardless, every .nds file is available on the WWW right now, always has been and always will be as servers are located in places that the buggers like RIAA or ESA cannot touch, India seems a popular choice at the moment.

RomU fought to the top of a heap of providers not due to .nds files(they where never exclusive) but due to this forum. The ability to download a game and chat about that game or chat about anything from god to heroin.

The ESA, as loony pointed out are bully boys who use ugly broken law as a means to make money. When Codemasters left them back in 2008 it should have left them dead(the Codemasters defection was on the tail of 4 other software houses).
ESA did not die, why? read this from their site....The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) is the U.S. association exclusively dedicated to serving the business and public affairs needs of companies that publish computer and video games for video game consoles, personal computers, and the Internet.

The ESA did not die because in Japan there is little legal protection for intellectual property. http://www.theesa.com/about/members.asp See this member list; of all the members only 7 are registered in America, none of them have patent protection on any current IP. Patent protection is available on hard coded software, such as the Unreal Engine, patent protection is not applied for as it would get in the way of legit code sharing(consider that the current Unreal engine uses I.D. code).

So the industry is happy when people within the industry copies code, hell they encourage it but only for their buddies, some in the industry don't play the game like Codemasters and they are paying a huge price for that decision. Their games are crap not because they are bad games but because they cannot get people from Nvidea and the like to help them. ESA have been instrumental in driving a rift between software developers and publishers, and have created a two tear system, and that is why you can only find that sweet FPS from Russia on WaReZ sites(many of which use the Unreal engine).

Bugger, this did turn out as a rant against ESA, sorry for being so long winded and so off topic, I hope your frustration is toward the ESA and not this crappy post.

I just dislike the ESA and sites like them. Their idea of "fair" is just broken.

so in other words ESA is making games crappier?!?! sorry i sorta skimmed through it and i dont want to read it right now...

No ESA are not making games crappier, they are making great games harder to make, and are making sure that great games which are made without their members help are impossible to find.

Although I will say that Atlus(Atlus are currently owned by Sting Entertainment of Japan and continue Atlus' independence) have been amazing at both remaining independent from this shitty system and churning out fantastic games, go buy something from them they really have been stellar.

Nothing wrong with making money Greenfire, how you make that money is always worth a thought and the ESA method is dubious. Worry not for the 3DS it will be shiny and wonderful, do worry if you want to develop some software, I requested a SDK from Nintendo, I knew they would say no, and they said no. I love my DS, it is a great platform but hell will freeze over before I get a SDK for that platform never mind the 3DS.

I hear you loud and clear , this is no doubt my preferred site for roms. The others are there and fully available, but this here clearly is my favorite, there's no lingering doubt about that.Hopefully all will be well soon. It is funny though, one of the moderators said and i quote"we aren't going to jail for you".Funny then why even make the site dumb shit? seriously you blow, why buckle now all of a sudden, dick between your legs or what, in it till the end or not at all shit lips.

But like everything else....only time will tell.

Your refund will be based on minus days into membership billing period.( i.e, one months rent of 400.00 USD, you came in on the 15th on the month of a 30 day month or billing cycle, you pay the full 400.00 still, but next month you pay half that 200.00) pro rated.then the 3rd month kicks back to 400.00 again and continues onward. So here lets say you pay 20.00 a month for a premium membership here(if you do, no idea why, but if you do), and all this nonsense happened on the 15th, so your refund is 10.00 USD.

We're not 'suddenly buckling'. we've been left alone until now. It always was our intention to shut down if we were ordered to. It's just taken a number of years for them to order us to shut down. We are young men with good skills and experience, we are not going to ruin the rest of our lives by getting a criminal record.

And anyone who expects you to is just as pathetic as the ESA themselves.

How much do you think we'd have to pay Chuck Norris to gun down ESA?
