No NDS downloads?

damn barley found out today about this major facepalm
The goal of RomUlation has always been to provide users with an opportunity to try out games in order to determine whether it is a game worth purchasing or not. We have always respected when publishers or developers felt RomUlation did more harm than good to the sales of their product.

The owner of this game contacted us with concerns that our service was doing more harm than good, so as per our goal and beliefs we have complied with their request to remove their intellectual property.

This currently covers ALL of the NDS games.

We understand that this may frustrate users who were looking for new games to test but we hope you also understand that this is both necessary and in accordance with our beliefs.

 

IM sure that all of us combined has all the roms on the site. TO THE SHARING SECTION!

i really dont see the reason why everyones scare. i pretty sure about a fourth of us knew that this day would be coming soon. sales for games have went down again (correct me if im wrong) and seph would probably agree that alot of us have been downloading games out of greed so there thats what i said. There is still hope for RomU's survival. Seph hasn't posted anything cool it guys we still haven't a word from him about this(correct me if im wrong)

 

For those of you who have downloaded every single NDS rom, you guys should set up an fserv on IRC or something. ^^ Well, I sure hope that the other rom sections don't go down though like the Atari 2600 ROMS or the GBA ROMS. Maybe when one one buys DS games anymore we'll be able to download them from romulation again in 2-6 years.

Still plenty of other sites. I only found one with the same quality, speed, and simplicity of Romulation. However, I think this message would be deleted if I mentioned the name of the site.

 

Yes, it would be deleted. I believe Seph mentioned that he doesn't want the spotlight from Romulation putting other sites in danger of similar issues.

his left leg has a nickname?!!! 0_o but i understand why you guys decided to remove them, and i agree, i would do the same exact thing if i were in the same situation. but currently, i'm to young for them to do much stuff legally to me, so....i don't really care about uploading ROMS that people request.

Well as a Premium Member i don't think i will be asking for a refund, but i probably will discontinue my Subscription on Paypal sadly.
I Have 6 or so DVD's packed with NDS rom rar's i have downloaded from here so i have no room to complain too much considering i got so much for free-ish.
I Do think it's a stupid idea to do this to RU though since IMO RU promotes far more sales in the NDS world than it hurts. I Know without RU i would never have bought my DSi or half the games i actually own.
As a matter of fact, just to be a total douche-nozzle i am pretty sure i plan to Boycott ESA and all of the companies it has under it's hairy bicep.
I May not be able to get my games from RU anymore (NDS anyway), but that's just going to make me more motivated to keep those companies out of my pocket.
That's my 2-cents.
And i don't blame RU or anyone who runs it for this, it's just the money hungry bastards in the ESA that are to blame.
