So all of this means that we will not be able to download NDS roms from RomUlation ever again?

I'm a pessimist. Look at it this way. The ESA has to do with a lot of companies, A LOT of companies, someone a few days ago had a list, not sure where it is though. I never said the NDS part won't be back, i just said that it definitely won't be the same. Even games like barbie's magical horse riding adventure and the imagine games will be gone because i'm pretty sure their companies are covered by the ESA. This whole ESA business will throw the NDS section into a completely different ballpark then it ever was in, not a good ballpark at all. I can't even guess what roms would remain because of how many companies the ESA covers.

I don't blame romulation at all, granted i most likely won't be downloading anything from the main site anymore since the only roms i did were NDS roms, but romulation had gotten tons of Cease and desist letters, it was only a matter of time before they were going after every NDS rom. Although by the sounds of it, it doesn't seem Romu was forced to do it, the message on the site makes it seemed like Seph basically realized that the NDS section was doing quite a bit of harm to video game sales and decided to remove a lot of the NDS games. Not sure if thats what the message was actually trying to give, but thats just what it seems like to me.

You won't be able to download a lot of NDS games, some will eventually be avaliable.

If you guys have downloaded most of the roms already, Why not put it in the "Roms that are not allowed to be hosted on romulation" and put it on like mediafire/megaupload or whereever else you seem to like to place them when people cant touch them here?

After they sift through all the NDS games covered by the ESA, we'll see whatever is left over back on the site. Chances are, if anything isn't covered by the ESA, it will probably be the shovelware that nobody really wants sadly.

As I've stated, it will be a long time until Romulation can actively host NDS roms of all sorts again.

Basically, the ESA sent them a letter saying remove the roms they cover, or go to court. Needless to say Romulation's decision was easy. Why would they remove the section of their own free will knowing it was why so many visited the site?

I was thinking that too, but that list of roms will be VERY long.

Someone started to uplaod some roms already and put a list on here somewhere with links.
its not the end of the world, it will just takes 30 seconds longer to find the game once more people start uploading too

Because the message that's currently there says nothing being being forced to take them down, usually when they remove roms, the message says something like they sent them a cease and desist etc letter and can't host the game anymore. This message seems more of the company just asking them to take them down, not really demanding, although it does say they complied with the company's request, so i'm not really sure.

It was asking but with implications of consequences if the favor asked wasn't complied with.

Note: I would suggest compressing the roms. It makes downloading easier for those with a slow connection.

If you just search for the game you want in RomUlation, then copy and paste the "official" ROM title in a Google search, you can find the game hosted elsewhere. For an example that I just tried, I wanted Star Fox Command, so I searched Star Fox Command in RomU and found the title I was looking for. RomU's "official" title was "0540 - Star Fox Command (U)(Legacy).rar". I went to my local Google page and searched for "0540 - Star Fox Command (U)(Legacy).rar", and found what I was looking for. I would bet my bottom dollar that this process would work for nearly any game you wanted to find and download. Best of luck,

Still, we're trying to keep an easy to find solution right here on RomU. Avoiding extra steps would be ideal.

Yup, that works well. :D But recent roms releases (from 4000 or so?) have release number that varies from one site to another, so you may not find what are you looking for... and I don't know if RomU will keep updating the release list (even with no download links?) so you may want to keep updated with the recent releases at GBAtemp or other site. :)
