well....i can only speak for myself, but i always look at stickies whenever i see them on any forum. i guess the main reason for that is because on most forums i got to, i moderate, so i understand the importance of stickies. 0_o

You and many others, but I know 3/4 of the people here don't bother reading stickies... They don't even comment. Just leech stuff

i know, and it is very sad that people just leech. :( most forums i mod on are warez forums, so i actually never leech. i absolutely hate leeches. :(
and just for everyones information, all my uploads of nds roms will go in the following folder:

    http://ifile.it/_w3imvnx/NDS%20ROMS

i'm still working on it so theres currently only 1 file, but it WILL get huge, guaranteed!

The community is the best thing about this site. There are plenty of great retro ROMs here, and I for one can live without the NDS ROMs (even though they're the ones that I download most ;)). If the DS ROMs go back up then great, if they don't; whatever, they're what attract the most downloads but not necessarily what attract the greatest community members. I'm sure that nobody will miss the many minor dramas caused by the various FAIL threads that are spawned by peoples' requests for DS ROMs and flashcart help et cetera.
This community is ace, I love it and so do plenty of other users. If you just want to download DS ROMs and leave afterwards without a word, then there are plenty of other whore-houses to do it in on the Internetz; but this one has the nice hookers that are c00l to talk to so I'll think I'll stay here anyways and shoot the breeze : )

when i first found this site on Google, i was just looking for a ROM site that was virus free, never even thought about the community. then about a week ago, i decided to join with the community, and woulda never guessed I'd love it! romU has one of THE best communities on the web. i don't care if they remove ALL the ROMS, the communities the best!

Hey, the DS is gonna die soon anyway. Probly mid-2011.

Yes, the DS is down. One thing I was thinking about too for a sec is why they didn't ask for any GC games to take down (nintendo is releasing those "new motion-control" vers of the games for wii.)

Then I thought of romUs point system.

I wonder if the ESA realized that so few people down the gamecube roms cause of their size and point cost and let them be? :D

Although the 3DS will be releasing eventually, you're still talking at least a full year before your predicted end to the normal DS. Even then, DS games will probably still be made actively for about a year after the release of the 3DS to give DS owners ample time to get a 3DS while not feeling like Nintendo abandoned them.

Now, the point of the matter is, NDS games are still releasing actively, and are one of the main sources of revenue for Nintendo. The ESA wanting RomUlation to pull NDS games isn't just because it is illegal, or else the ESA would make them pull the whole site. Gamecube games are left alone, as they aren't a source of profit for Nintendo anymore, as Nintendo no longer produces GC games or anything related to it.

I'm a little surprised to discover the scope of games covered by the ESA. I went on the archive and searched for the most obscure game that I'd never heard of made by people I've never heard of(some shovelware puzzle game), and was surprised to discover that it had been removed in the recent purge.

Funny thing; out of all the games I have downloaded for the DS, the only ones I don't own are out of print or imports. Every other game I actually own a copy of. The only reason I download it myself is so I don't have to carry 100+ NDS cartridges with me to play games.

Google'ing part of these messages got me on the romsite in seconds (although I already knew about it).

RomUlation has pulled every game at the moment. The NDS section is back, but it is still void of any and all links as far as I'm aware.

All games are still offline, we just put the details pages back up. We're still working on removing ESA stuff.

Does this mean all of their future software won't be uploaded or will they need to send a C&D every time?
