hmmm... quite the understanding cause from what the gamestop near my town stated about the same thing, but i told them what loony said about the EULA and they laughed at me >__>

so i guess the Big N is fixing to pull some nasty countermeasures against us here >__>

so far, i can tell the 3DS is going to be a kick in the teeth, right now, im happy with the DSi XL i got from a friend since they got a japanese 3DS XD

So...in other words, we've switched to a dictatorship overnight and the consumer has NO rights whatsoever. Shame we don't have any lawyers we could ask.

Yep seems so then again I wont trust what gamestop says because when i went there last night to throw down some money for the 3ds. The manger was selling someone those new Dsi Pokemon Bundle which was like 210 and change and didn't even tell her that the new ds comes out in like 6 days lmao. It can also just be a rumor as well since no one showed any vids of a bricked 3ds on youtube or complained about it. so all we can do is just wait and watch and see if someones 3ds gets bricked cause of a flashcart :X

Hrm, I'm not 100% sure of how he's a lawyer, but there's one professor at my school I could ask. Must remember!!

It makes it unfair if you violate Nintendo's terms on 3ds they will brick your 3ds. :(

Well, it's on the boxes for the unit and/or games in small text, and I'm sure they hope that we miss it. :\

So does that mean once we buy the 3DS which is very over priced that we don't have full ownership and that we are just leasing it and if Big N wants they can brick it. But what if you have home-brews and games that aren't found in America since we are mad picky with our games. Does that mean where not going to be allowed to play our games such as Jump Ul Super Star that is mad bs -.-

No shittin'. It's on the back of my Rayman 3D game case.
And here I was going to use a flashcart on it to play DS games. I don't want to take the chance.

You KNOW companies don't give a shit about the end user, if they did, they wouldn't threaten bricking. I'm disappointed that apple and sony's nazi disease has gotten to Big N...

    Whoa, that's intense.

And here I was clinging to the last ray of hope that it may have been just an empty threat (as they've done before) and exaggerated rumors.
I wonder if there will be any serious legal battles over this.

I spoke to the professor at my school who also teaches law, and he said that Nintendo has that right to brick the thing. This will suck till a "cure" is found!!

^This is what I say about all online only games xD. Even moreso to ordinary games for consoles since we wont have anything to play the games on once a new system comes out. It's like what we buy now is a rip-off considering it will lose functionality in about 5 or 6+ years (because support for old consoles will die and the old system will go extinct). That's why I can't stand when new consoles do not have backwards compatibility. I didnt buy the games just to not be able to play them in the future. If I knew that when I bought them, I wouldnt have bought them. And that is why ppl pirate xD.

Question; is he a republican by any chance? republicans tend to side with large businesses over the consumer, solely for the sake of protecting their own investments into said companies(stocks?)
Remember, we live in a corrupted nation, where Big Business controls most of the government. And gets away with just about everything.

Yes, he's very Republican. He cares about people, not just himself.

If you guys really think I need to, I can ask him on Friday for where it says that's legal. I might only have the info 100% Wednesday, cuz we don't have school the day he's there next week.
