Th'd take a LOT of workers, time, and caffeine to block them all!! I guess it's almost like Pokemon: Gotta block 'em all!!

OR, a simple DS cart block all command, AKA Remove backwards compatibility :p

i heard that they can brick your 3ds because they can see what games you are playing so if its a rom they are going to brick it and not fix it. its just a rumor my friend told me

As I have said repeatedly, doing that would be illegal and would get them into a HELL of a lot of trouble.

ANd we KNOW what happens when you do that, just look at Sony :p
Reputation in the toilet, at least by those who now anything(entire net knows).

what happened to sony is minor compared to what would happen to nintendo. Sony only removed a feature, nintendo are allegedly intend to permanently render the devices completely inoperable

The 3DS or just the flashcarts?

the 3ds. The criminal damage argument wouldn't necessarily stick against flashcarts being permanently disabled. but nintendo disabling a 3ds because the owner has used a flashcart is a pretty clear cut case of criminal damage.

It's the same as a dealer selling you a car, and being able to remotely kill it/render it inoperable when you don't go to THEM to change the oil on it.

I mean I doubt they would do that cause theres mad people who use flashcarts. Didn't apple try to brick all jailbroken phones but they weren't allowed to because once someone owns something they can do w/e they want as long as it isn't illegal. Plus doesn't the wii also have a log about all the games that you played and i don't hear people talking about getting their moded wii bricked unless if they bricked it by trying to mod it lol

    Try telling that to sony.
They grab you by your face and drag you to court over something you THINK you bought, but in reality, only lease.

So I just talked to someone in gamestop who said they had a demo of the system the other day the Big N in the suit confirmed that they will be bricking the whole system because before you can play your 3ds you have to agree to the terms and it says if you violate it that your whole system will be bricked and there is nothing you can do about it. So I guess I'm not going to use my roms on my ds ;(

take them to court, an EULA does not and cannot override statuate law.

well now that i think about it maybe were just misunderstanding maybe it can mean a firmware update can brick your system but were prob never going to know intill someone takes the risk and trys it out but im sure were going to find a way to unbrick it as they say "if theres a will theres a way" :D

I'll talk to my GameStop people to see if this is true. Plus I can tell you in 6 days.

Meh I give it a few weeks before there is a proper workaround for whatever the big N wants to try. Fact is though that that they can buy any devises released to get around their product, so they can come up with countermeasures. It will just end up with a back and fourth.

Well I guess we can only find out in 6 days to see if the N found a counter measure to carts as of now

I think we'll be abusing the AR cards rather than playing games XD

Yea Augmented Reality will be fun. Can't wait till the 3ds is hacked and that stuff gets abbused on the home brew seen. :X But I wont hold my breath because Homebrew on the nintendo side of the fence has been dead for a long time.
