Yeah, those new starters look odd, but not totally piece of cow plop ugly, just odd.

They kinda reminded me of the Fakemon from that Pokemon Ruby hack Pokemon Quartz.

All Pokemon DON'T Take Drugs Look What Happened To Turtwig

 

the grass starter looks like cyndaquil, and the fire looks like turtwig.
It doesn't really looks like an real pokemon game, it's more like an amateur made pokemon game. and i thought pokemon couldn't sink lower..

I don't know how many times I've said this, If you want, you can compare it yourself.

Each new "GEN" they release, hosts starters which get even more animal-like as it goes on... It's Pocket Monster, not Pocket Animals.

 

Even in the first gen Pokemon looked like animals already

 

o-o the legendarys look like a mix between lugia and palkia/dialga

 

This game is going to be cool,
I'm suprised pokemon hasn't ran dead out of ideas yet.

I really don't know how to take Pokemon seriously anymore... Then again, was it meant to be taken seriously?

Starters.... suck. Sorry. Developers, are you trying to make the game more rewarding by starting out with ugly pokemon and then making their evolutions cooler? Or did you not show the evolutions 'cause they get even worse? But that isn't the only problem for me.
I always thought they should screw the turn-based Pokemon games. It's a wasted effort to add all this stuff to a game series, just to keep a boring turn based battle system. The game doesn't even have strategy in it! The strategy is limited to: Use False Swipe to not kill the Pokemon, or, use this move, it's less powerful and the Pokemon won't die so you can catch it, or, use Spider Web so Latios can't get away! It's basically a monotonous game in which the obvious path to victory is to get type-advantage, and train a bunch. :-\ I still don't understand why it's such a big hit.

I apologize to all fans of the series for this insult, but everyone has their own opinion.

 

The battle system has been improved nicely since the first games. The only thing I don't like regarding battle is how certain pokemon are able to learn too many moves of different 'types', sometimes it's moves which are effective against types they are supposed to be weak against.

If you don't like turn based just ignore the game, they aren't going to abandon it now and risk completely screwing it up with silly real-time crap. The battles system really isn't an area that needs change.

 

Dammit Nintendo, stop basing pokemon off animals and base them off of food and appliances. There's only one food based pokemon and no one even realized it. I want a water and steel type pokemon based of of a steampunk mech. And why not add hate based evolutions? Ever since I saw it, I've wanted to abuse my Mawile to the point it evolves into a steel and ghost type Iron Maiden pokemon.

 

I thought Gamefreaks was the one making the game?
And I can see why they won't do it,everyone knows if something like that appears it'll be all "WTF DIGIMION RIPOFF!!!111!"
