I don't think Nintendo would listen to a forum who pirates their games. I also agree that the Fire,Grass and water starters should be changed to different types.

uggh.... I give up trying to "Catch them All" if they add a 6th Gen. On the plus side theyll be able to fill in the missing animal roles? (Dolphins, etc.)
That wall of text post was massive, so I'm just going to split up the headings into "Good" and "Bad" ideas. Good: Trainer cards Mail system - Agreed, could do with an overhaul. Clothing and gear - Possibly. Create a trainer - Or more options for changing your sprite in the Colosseum. Old pokemon new evolutions - As long as they don't suck. Baby pokemon - I like my Little Cup matches, baby pokemon don't suck. Legendary pokemon - I liked when they were totally optional. Items - Maybe a couple of viable items, but I can't think of any off the top of my head. Random Wifi Battles - Although I like this, I can still get a battle at Serebii or Smogon IRC in like 5 minutes flat. I don't like most of the others, but here's a special few I'd like to add to the "shut up and don't be such a fucking scrub" list: New Types - A new type would be good if there were any real problems in the game, but considering it's fundamentally sound, there's no worries. Fusion/Multitype Moves - Nonono. Just no. God, no. That would immediately make them the best moves in the game and completely unbalance the entire metagame. Crossbreeding/Fusion - As above. Weather - Umad at people using Sandstorm/Hail teams? Put it this way, taking SS/Hail as a move costs a moveslot. Taking Tyranitar/Hippowdon/Abomasnow takes a pokemon slot. It's a big investment, and balanced quite well. If you're really that annoyed, bring Machamp. Changing Stealth Rocks/Spikes - Mixed opinion. Yeah, they're quite powerful, but they require preparation. I think they're fine as is. Teams work fine with or without them, although I do think there's room for another couple of viable Rapid Spinners. Also, nobody ever uses Delibird for a reason. Delibird sucks ass, and Charizard is only viable as a Belly Drum variant. Expanded Secret Bases - Hah. Not viable with the hardware that's in the DS. Especially on Wifi. Too much data. And to clear things up, the Fighting-type was always means to be the fair, justice-esque type while the Dark-type did dirty underhanded things like Bite and Taunt. It's why Fighting hits 2x on Dark. I'm actually quite liking the Fighting-type at the moment, it's got some great moves in 4th gen.
Trust me I agree, I love battling with my own baby team, but that doesn't mean I'm a fan of the newer baby pokemon. heres a example, Why create a new baby pokemon for a old pokemon? I think it is stupid, a pokemon like Mantine from a second generation game got a unevolve form? and takes up a pokedex slot, and to be honest, shouldn't mantine have gotten this when he was first created? or even azurill? and on the topic of azurill, heres why I think it's a stupid reason to have new baby pokemon for old pokemon, because pokemon like azumarril will never be able to evolve or get stronger and be outclassed because of these baby pokemon, sure they can create new move pool, or ability, but why new baby pokemon for old pokemon? and I do agree I like baby battles, but I'm not a fan of New baby pokemon for old pokemon... if they should make a baby pokemon it should be like starly is to staravia and staraptor, or how shinx is to luxio and luxray. However I do believe that some pokemon do need a new baby form, such as Touros and Kangaskan, and I liked what they did with roselia, they added a evolve form and a baby form, but matine didn't really make much sense.. unless they just wanted to add a baby so it didn't look odd. Random wi-fi battles at serebii or smogon is not something everyone's into, and I believe everyone here would agree that they rather have the ability to go on wi-fi and connect quickly. Like, in Mario kart ds, Phantasy star zero, and Metroid prime hunters, rather then seeking people out in a random chat and adding there 12 digit number. and waiting on them to add you as well, it's 2010 Nintendo should wake up and thoes that defend friendcodes. Fusion moves could be used in doubles and it wouldn't be over powered, because theres ways of ballancing them out. (if they we're to exist) such as PP usage and Type effectiveness and Only created with some mix combinations such as zaping a water move to to increase its power it's not really much different then having hail and blizzard or rain dance and surf. as for multitype moves I meant some moves like thunderpunch, and not really gaining more power just a extra type, you can't really say Multitype move is more powerful then a close combat or a outrage. Crossbreeding wouldn't be much different then a munchlax being born from a snorlax holding lax incense. Fusion I can kinda agree on, but doesn't mean all pokemon would use this, and only a selected few such as unknowns and some pokemon that might look similar or be of the same species(for example Minun and plusle) I never said to remove there ability or the move, and I'm not mad, but your making it seem as if I was? or are you upset because I stated my own opinion? I believe that these weather effects are good, but shouldn't last for the entire match, and should be tweaked to work like a normal sandstorm and not last for the entire match like kyogres and groudons summons (yes I know you can counter theses weather effects) I just find it silly that Tyranitar and the others have a unlimted turn weather effect that falls in the same level of groudon and kyogres(being legends). stealth rocks should be fixed, and not last on the field forever or have more rapid spinners, or a ability to blow away theses hazards because stealthrock needs more counters or be fixed in someway, because it pretty much screws over all multitypes that have weakness to stealthrocks and only one move in the entire game to counter it... rapidspin.. which can be blocked by a ghost type. also by doing this, we would see more NU and UU pokemon in play, there are alot of UU and NU pokemon that get trashed by Stealthrocks.(mostly bugs but the NU and UU take it worse) Not really, simple rooms and bases can be done, just look at animal crossing ds metroid prime hunters or other online ds games such as Phantasy star these games did a great job showing what the ds can handle. even thoe it's true.. you can't deny the existance of light. Again this is my own opinion and I'm only expressing my thoughts.
Yeah, I know it's your opinion, but still, some of these ideas are like "woah, wat". I am actually in favor of random Wifi battles, I just wouldn't use them as much because I don't feel like getting into a fight with hacked shiny ubers. Multityped moves being powerful, maybe not. Versatility, though, that's a whole new ball game. Pokemon without those moves would likely fall by the wayside quickly. Imagine if Scizor got Bullet Punch as both a Steel and Fighting-type move? It could drop Superpower/Brick Break and take yet another powerful move to launch off its massive base attack. The weather effects are fine. Running Tyranitar practically forces you to run a very specific theme, and as soon as it dies, there's no way to recover the storm. Same with Hail. Furthermore, it's hardly in the range of being as useful as Drought or Drizzle - the Uber effects increase the power of a certain type of move by a large amount (not to mention that the abilities themselves aren't necessarily gamebreaking; the Pokemon with them are since they're synergetic and don't require any backup). Sandstorm and especially Hail have no such problems. Stealth Rocks. Yeah, they hurt, but consider this: you can use them too. Further to this, if your opponent is relying on Spikes and Rocks enough to bring a spin-blocker, that's two slots already that aren't immediately killing you with a Scarf/Band/Specs/Orb. Yeah, there should be some more viable spinners. No, the rocks shouldn't be turned into a timed thing. The introduction of a truly viable spinner could save a lot of hassles and give the metagame a required push into alternative routes than suicide Stealth Rockers. I find that (Toxic) Spikes are only really used in stall. And so what about light? It's just an absence of darkness, after all.
You wouldn't run into legendary ubers, if nintendo blocked the use of legend ubers, or added a custom search for wifi oppenent, such as Anything goes or the rules that we're used in stadium, as for ubers like chomp thats another matter... You got a point on scizor, but thats just how scizor is... a B,A,M,F, and thats not to say that gamefreak is not known for making huge changes like, the physical switch they did with generation 4 Hyper beam is now special and moves like thunder punch are now considered physical, and from past games they have done switches such as bite turning from a normal type to a dark type as well as magneton to a dual type. Sand increases the special deffences of pokemon, such as tyranitar and cradily by 50% it can be very useful, but having unlimted turns on sandstorm from a none legend pokemon, such as Tyranitar makes the item smoothrock kinda pointless, along with groudon and kyogre being legends with a story of having the power to summon weathers(most sandstorm teams carry ttar and hipo anyway and don't bother with smoothrock) I love stealthrocks, I always use it, but I still think it should have more counters, abilities, items, moves, or just be fixed in some way. A nice flying move to blow away SR would be nice. Pokemon is a rock paper scissors game, and we all know how these types beat each other up, because it's common sense, such as if I was outside and wanted to put out fire I would of course use water, and if it's dark in a room I would turn on the lights. so in a way.. my light defeated my dark room, lol even thoe it's a odd way of explaining it.
Smogon's Uber restrictions aren't about to be adopted by Nintendo as the standard. Nor are the clauses. Nintendo aren't always good about taking good ideas from unofficial sources, iirc. =/ Yeah, but you see my point? A single multityped move on one pokemon could break the balance of the game. I'm fine with the whole thing where they made some slight adjustments to account for the new types, and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened on the off chance they make a new type, but multityping a move is just insane. The special defense boost can be a pain if played right (been on both ends of it), but I still do not think SS is nearly as gamebreaking as Drought or Drizzle. The abilities of Kyogre and Groudon can horribly cripple teams running opposing weather effects, and their attacks are also boosted to (even more) insanely high degrees because of these weather effects. Water Spout from Kyogre in rain? Gg guise. Earthquake from Tyranitar in a Sandstorm? Not really much of a problem, it's still just as effective as ever. Smooth Rock is there as an alternative to wasting a slot on Tyranitar/Hippowdon. But seriously, if the special defense boost is really going to be a problem then that team has a lot more to make you worry, since the only viable abuser of the weather in OU is Cradily (in which case expect rocks and Toxic Spikes). Field hazards do need another counter. Preferably something in the vein of an OU-viable Claydol, or a Bronzong with Rapid Spin.
speaking of pokemon weather they should make a Dark type weather move like "Full Moon" it could do this: "boosts the power of dark and ghost type moves for 5 turns"
I know weavile would love that..... lol Thoe I always thought it was a cool idea to see some Night based weather like a full moon (not the Moonlight move) like sunny day is to fire types, but... lol I can see weavile being used more then, but it's not like pokemon's fighting system is broken on some pokemon anyway.*coughgarchompwobacough* as for another weather I would like to see is some wind based weather effect, sorta like tailwind. @Suis True they arent gonna use smogon rules, but they do have good decent rules in the stadium games if you ever played there pokeball cup rules or the prime cup rules they did not allow same items, legends, and two pokemon frozen, also had the species clause and the destiny bond, explosion rule. Sure it's not a perfect rule, but it's better then what they have on DS or PBR games. lol I think they should allow for custom rules in friend matches, sorta like in Metroid and other games such as brawl ECT. Yes I see your point, and it is insane, but like I said Gamefreak is known for making changes, and one pokemon or two is not gonna stop them from making changes like Ev system, abilities like levitate on gengar (yes it was a good change) and type changes from one pokemon to another, not even a evolution chain stops them from screwing up one pokemon over a new change, and on there site they did claim that they are making some huge changes, but still keeping the same RPG formula. According to the site pointing that it would fall in the same line as "the main series" Thoe it's true it would screw up some pokemon and there movepool and make them beastly, broken or lame, but this is gamefreak and there gonna make changes that are gonna screw over some pokemon... remember sceptile and his trademark move? sure he got his special moves, but thats not gonna stop them from making changes even if it effects some pokemon.(even thoe sceptile is great in spa) 50% is still alot and it's still pretty damn powerfull if the user of it knowns exactly what the hell hes doing, and even thoe it's not as strong as a quick boost from a rain or sunny day, it still gives off a huge chunk of special deffence boost, as for cradily he may be the OU abuser right now, but thats not to say that 5th gen will probably bring in pokemon that can take better advantage of this, but I think all in all gamefreak should make more counters to there weathers, spikes stealthrocks, and other moves and fix them in some way or form. Eh, rapidspin really does suck in a way.. most players that spike, even me block these things with a ghost lol I think they need some abilities and stronger rapidspin like move, just like what they did for quick attack and created a stronger version of it called extreamespeed, or make a ability sorta like intimidate or cloudnine , or even better just make a new weak version of rapidspins like what they did for most priority moves like, bullet punch, ice shard ect.
RPG/3rd person shooter [me=Omega_2]has DECIDED TO JUST LINK TO THE QUOTE:[/me] IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M ON ABOUT, CLICK ABOVE LINK @drageon007 Trainer Card: A a sort of gamertag for use on the forums? For it. Why? Come on, this is supposed to be the age of communication, so let us have our NWFC_Tags, we want be ecks.bawckses too! EDIT Yeah, I know what you meant, though most of us would use them to spam forums with Mail System: For it, but would need a bit of work, especially if it means EVERYONE can chat with each other(spam, mostly the concern here), unless the game would support sending email similar to how Mystery Dungeon would(never been able to try this myself) Trainer Customizability:(I know it's not a word, STFU, Chrome) For it. It would let people stop running around as a faceless, conformist trainer, yes? Item Ebay mode: More of a 50/50 there, as scalping ALWAYS ends up happening, unless this is enforced. Building interiors, landscapes, etc.: For it. I do miss that little teaser/loader/transition from FR/LG Move sets: 40/60 Do you mean in a manner of linking moves like with Mystery Dungeon? I see that getting abused a bit, though. Incest: (Yeah, we see you people inbreeding your pokemon XD) Neutral. Now, this sounds like something taking more form of MegaMan Battle Network's battle chips; too much variety means too many dex entries. Venastoise would be better as a Team Rocket experiment, like Mewtwo, but a tad more affordable and would end up as a T.R. boss/admin battle or something, like it belonging to the head of the department in charge of these genetic fusion experiments(Incoming interpol/feds and optional main quest #2) of course, they'll have to adhere to the dual type system, no Fire/Fire, k?(might be negotiable though, 2x fire moves via Fire/Fire would be interesting, but it leaves them WIDE open to Water, also taking 2x damage to type weaknesses) Type Alignments, followed by new dex entries: Elec. is often considered to be an opposite of Dark, so this one's in the air. Though, I've yet to see a Fire/Ice and others(Maybe Eevee can mutate to this and Fire/Water. hell, a Normal evolution was seen coming, but never happened, I bet ) Soon, we'll see memes as dex entries(Whishcash needs Hyper Beam, imo XD) Odd thing about Unown, the letter they represent determines their Hidden Power type advantage/disatvantage as for new pokemon evolutions, see spoiler, or just the thread; https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php?topic=33265 Spoiler Legendaries: As for legendaries we have Creation, now where is my DESTRUCTION? somewhere along the line, Ive lost my place... Story: Questionnaire, followed by you getting assigned a region as the starting point/shifting storyline; 1.: Do not like water much? Yes? Point towards Kanto 2.: Love water? Yes? Point towards Hoenn 3.: Have a fondness for space program? Yes? Point towards Hoenn 4.: Played any previous versions? Yes? Less lame questions 5.: How bout that MissingNo.? Yes?/Awesome! Point for Kanto 6.: How about old legends and lore? Yes? Point for Sinnoh 666.: OBJECT EVENT. Teru-Sama? :O Now, certain events will overlap with events in other regions, examples being such as the Groudon drought in Hoenn causing slightly noticeable effects in Johto, or Team Rocket's takeover of Goldenrod City broadcasts could be heard all the way back in Kanto, hell I'd like to see Team Rocket clash with Team Galactic, Magma, Aqua, now and again, and maybe even joining forces and nearly taking over the world. Oops, your rival is thinking of switching sides, probably shouldn't have rubbed it in after that 3rd straight victory against him/her D: Spoiler But its up to YOU to put a stop to all that. Now get to work kid Wifi-Double battles, Online Trainer Towers, Online Bases/Evil Lairs, Contests and Ranking: These should have been implented from the DS generation, especially that lobby/spectator mode for the battles(lol, Pokemon Stadium) even the random wifi battling should be standard. (lol, matchmaking) Now, the penalizing rank system, some people are in areas with enough interference to cause WFC dc's, which would be unfair to them. Hell, I'm a walking dead-zone for most phones and wireless devices Weather: Yeah, could have been better implemented, we need MOAR fog, imo. Actual shifting weather dependent on the time, day, week, month, or monthly weather DLC packs via NWFC(DSi feature?) Severe weather ftw: "What's that?? Snowpoint City has no snow?! It's snowing in Sunnyshore?? Torrential Rain on Mt. Coronet? Damned global climate shifts/Team Magma/[x/0]"(lol) Friendship: Agree. Need the power of rage [me=Omega_2]spent about 4 hours on this, going between spamming the IRC, here and fighting the sleep. it is now 7.02am XD[/me] And I know it's out of the question, but using the DSi camera for face recognition, so your pokemon know you're you
the "trap" moves can be reLLY ANOYING : I myself fougth agains my friend and he got like sthealrock, toxic spikes and used some force chance like roar to poison and damage all my pokemon that way(3vs3) there really should be more "clear the field moves" to counter those
exactly! and by the way Omega_2, that was great idea about region and the "quests"!!!!send it to the POKEMON Company an Nintendo AND game freak
You know, if they wanted to, they could find us and have us killed, I mean, just look at where we are right now XD
