I hope I don't have to see the movie to get close to the WiFi towers inside to get a hidden pokemon like last time... paying 10 bucks to get into a movie to get a "super rare pokemon" enduring through2 hours of misery and 3 days of playing just to find that lucario is just a stones throw away... sad... so sad.

 

More like making easy money

 

One thing I want in Pokemon is an actual storyline, instead of just defeating the bad team and the Pokemon League.

Maybe some customisation, fun minigames and even dating-sim elements(Nothing physical, just a girl/ boy liking you, and can be a partner in tag battles)

And of course, a badass rival like ???/Silver.

With more sidequest that's like pokemon ranger. It won't hurt to take a break from battles.
More customization too as other say.

Trainer cards
I always saw my trainer card as a Friendcode/achievements/profile.
so.. why not use it like this online? imagine showing off my Trainer card to online
people and allowing them to see my achievements/team/profile and giving them the
option of accepting it and becoming my friend and the id could be used for them if they wanted to give it to someone eles
for them to seek me out.

Mail system
Would be cool if they had a email system on your PC this way you could keep track of your friends by doodling or typing out a quick message to them, or use the games built in Mail from the pokemarts and give that more usage for the player to send massages sorta like animal crossing and maybe attache items.


Clothing and gear
How about some special gear like they did with PBR, just imagine a special event clothing/gear for for your trainer! like, a Team rocket shirt! or some magma gear, or even a some special downloadable holiday gear/clothing! would give me another excuse to visit the pokemarts and buy something other then a pokeball in each town, or a even better idea.. how about a
design your own clothing like in animal crossing!

Create a trainer?
Speaking of designing, ever since the first game, I designed and drew my own trainer and always hoped for one day day to be able to use my own fan made created trainer, and with PBR on wii I was dissapointed, but maybe gamefreak will decide to make this a true online experiance and allow for Trainer creation just like in PBR, but with a deeper level of creation.

Trading items
I know I'm tired trading pokemon for a simple item... I hope they make a trading system or auction place for items, because I'm tired of always needing to catch the rat/bird/bug related pokemon just for a simple item from my friend.


Field and battlebackground animation
Ever since the first pokemon game I thought to myself, it would be cool to see what the gyms look like, but the gameboy had it's limitations, but with N64 I was wowed and saw what the gyms looked liked, but then came GBA and showed us the same boring limitations with Ruby and sapphire, it dissapointed me, but then comes firered and leafgreen and teases me with there awesome intro and background! it was like saying... this is what pokemon should

but again I was dissapointed and they let me down with DP in the same bullish way. I hope that they do decide to add a background animation in the 5th generation game or do something like Pkmn GC did.

Fusion and or multitype moves
Imagine how cool it would be to have some team tag battle special moves, or some moves to save some slots, for example, by having multitype moves, you would be able to have some double typing on one move, thus saving a slot, and allowing for more customization on your pokemon!
Take thunder punch for example, now lets say it has fighting properties with the same electric properties, this would allow for some pokemon like raichu to benifit and be more customizable and allowing for more deeper strategy,
this could also work for other moves such as blazekick.
now about the fusion moves, remember in the anime how may did combinations? or when ash battled a frontier brain? they did fusion/combination attacks like mixing in water moves with a partner using a electric move and creating a stronger attack.

Fusion and or cross breeding
Ok I know this sounds stupid! but comon! theres so many pokemon and some would look pretty badass if they fused or cross breeded
and remember in the first game bill was working on a fusion system, and in GS there was gligar and if i remember correctly it was made as a result of being fused

New types
Steel and dark types we're first introduced in gold and silver and I think it's been long enough wait since the introduction of new types we're first introduced in pokemon GS games, and I believe it's about time we see a new types such as the one showned in the anime episode with

I know some of you may think it wasn't a new type and that it was just a rock type, but it clearly showed that it wasn't a rock type or steel type, because in that episode it was shot by water attack moves and it had imunity to water attacks, but had a fire weakness.
Plus I think the inclusion of a water resistant type would ballance out the game, because there are alot of water types in the RPG and like I said the anime has inspired some in game mechanics before.
Also adding in one more type wouldn't hurt as well, since in GS introduced two new types! So I think a second type like steel's opisite is to diamond and crystal, maybe a light type to match the oposite of the dark type.
Again I know this sounds kinda weird, but if you look at the trading card game, the TCG has inspired some in game moves,types and abilites, such as.. rain dance from the blastoise card

and the mudslap move from the diglette card

and the Dark types from team rocket boosters that increased in attack when given a dark energy,



but if you look closely at the Trading card game there was a Crystal type energy card

and a Light type once.
and this kinda hints that they can borrow material from the TCG and use it in there games, but speaking of types theres also the type and was introduced in GS but never really used on a pokemon except for the unknown arceus type that was found in the games programing

Old pokemon new evolutions
as much as it pains me to see pokemon being corrected... I still would love to see some new evos' for some pokemon such as Altaria or even some other pokemon like rapidash! imagine rapidash evolving into a pegasis! or Touros into a Auroch!
but more then anything I want fresh new pokemon! and hoping that there not like tailow and starly is to pidgey...

third evolution stage? wtf?
Speaking of new Evolutions I read once that gamefreak considered the idea for a third evolution stage, but I really don't like the sound of a third evolution on a stage 2 pokemon, but gamefreak did reply to this question in a interview with either nintendo power was it? or IGN I can't remember but they did say it would be a interesting idea and they have thought of the possibilities and a third evo. Also, if they did consider this... they would be able to correct some pokemon that got screwed over thanks to the cute baby pokemon such as azurill for azumarill and pichu for raichu.

baby pokemon
DO NOT WANT! first off! there useless! and there taking up pokedex slots! and there only good for the baby exclusive move! and I hope if they do decide on adding a baby form... they do what they did with roselia, by adding a baby and a new evo.

New forms
I really hate these cash in forms... but some do make more sense then others... but seriously! they need to correct somethings and not do some half assed job by fixing a fail rotom and adding new forms to make them more useable or popular..
but I blame uknows for this... they really are useless, and theres really no real reason to catch them all! and there was no real point in owning them all even in GS, but unless they add some reason like a fusion system and create one powerful fused unknown then that could be pretty cool reason t catching them all
as for giratina, atleast it has a reason! it's got a story and it's own world so it kinda makes sense, but I don't really like the new forms and its a cheap cash in excuse lol as for deoxys he was kinda cool, but there really wasnt a point to having more of him. another useless form or atleast not so much big of a deal was gastrodon,but if they do add new forms I hope they do it the same way they did it for this pokmemon.

legendary pokemon
I know some of you are gonna disagree on me with this.. but theres waaay too many damn legendary pokemon! I mean comon!
Red/blue had only 5! zapdos/articuno/moltress/mewtwo/mew even thoe mewtwo isn't really considered a legendary... and arcanine is I believe some of you know what i mean...
as for Gold/silver we got 6 legendary pokemon, but then gamefreak got crazy with the legendaries with R/S and pumped up the legendary pkmn up to a total of 10! freaking legends
but... it got worse... now DP has 15!!! I'm hoping they don't over do the whole legendary pokemon and focus more on new evos and new pokemon rather then the legends/new forms/baby pkmn

Baby legends?
as stupid as this idea is I wouldn't doubt them doing this.... since they already tested this with phion and there anime did show that baby legends do exist.

Abilities
Would be kinda cool to actually use some abilties outside of battle.. like Fly? but could only be used once you had the badge or like someone said in the forum a HM move that does not take up a slot in your moves, but heres a better idea how about if it gains the ability to fly and not the attack fly! called HMA's

Story
They need to change it up! I'm tired of starting in a town and going to a lab and getting my starter pokemon from some prof. and then moving on to the next town to catch a bug/rat/bird related pkmn and go through a forest to take on a gym and then hopefully defeat the evil team T/A/M/G/ and then beat up the E4 and my rival.
hows about a story? like My starter gets stolen and then I'm forced to catch a pokemon or some bull and then at the end I face the guy that stole my pokemon and so on so forth blah blah blah you get the idea and make the gyms optional as a side quest thing so there tougher and harder

Tag double battles
I would love to see some tag battles and have a ally that follows me sorta like brock and I get to choose my ally and ect plus depending on where I go his team changes and learns to setup strategies with my pokemon and create fusion attacks and so on and so forth, or maybe not and just add some deeper double battles
like cleric type healing in doubles or some other stuff.

Online tag battles
This would be a killer idea! I know they gotta add this! because the concept was in DP's battle tower and allowing for you to tag battle with random people or a buddy would be awesome! and the concept was in the anime and the movies so I wouldn't daubt seeing this happen.

Items
they need to add more useful battle items, I cannot tell you how many battles I have done online to run into the same items... like leftovers,choice items and life orbs.

Ranking system
Ok, ok, I know this one sounds really stupid, and you guys will probably think dcers and such, but in metroid prime hunters there was a star ranking system that if you dced you would get penalized and your stars would go down and on top of that your connection 100% would go down meaning that the lower it was the more you dced and anyone could see it and know if you we're a dcer if it was really low.

Wi-Fi battle custom rules setup match
lol This one makes me laugh alot because alot of competitive pokemon players make up rules and some take it more seriously then others by allowing some pokemon to enter or preventing same items or pokemon to enter, but by having a built in battle rule setup before someone joins would save alot of headaches and I know it would be a pretty cool little tiny tweak. unless gamefreak want us play the game the way it was meant to be played, broken as hell. lol

Weathers
First off! they need to fix the weather system! because sandstorm/raindance/hail/ last 2-5 turns, but the stupid summons last untill they get replaced! and that ticks me off! because it makes the battle one sided and gives a huge advantage to Tyranitar/hippowdon users and it becomes boring! they need to fix that and maybe bring in castform and allow him to transform into a sand from.
Also that Fog weather was kinda cool! I hope to see more of it but fixed with less hax.

Made up wathers
Ok before anyone bashes me on this one... just know that it does exist! pokemon XD gale of darkness has shown that a concept can be made into the game and if there was made up weather effects it would only deepen the strategy in the games and allow for even greater customization, but you guys are probably thinking.. what kind of made up weather effects? well... XD gale of darkness had a weather effect called shadow sky, and was similar to hail and I believe it increased shadow type pokemon moves, but if fake weathers we're to be used then we could say and pretend a Toxic rain weather effect or some thunderstorm weather effect... comon! think outside the box. lol

Stealth rocks and All Spikes
I honestly think that stealth rock screws up the reason why everyone avoids using more pokemon like delibird and charizard and to be honest I think it shouldn't last on the field forever or spikes, yes I know this would piss off alot of competitive players, but by making a limit on how long these things stay on the field would increase the strategy on both sides and allow for more NU= never used UU=under used pokemon to be played more often, and if they corrected this by either creating more moves like rapid spin or abilities that would remove these from play or place a round limit on stealthrocks or spikes would increase the game's strategy and increase the games pokemon useage more often.

Friendship
I know I seen this a dozen of times! but they really should introduce more hatred! I mean who ever uses the move frustration?
no one! everyone one uses Return! and there are zero pokemon that evolve with anger/hatred! however there are pokemon that evolve with the friendship system such as togatick,chancey and eevee's as well as others but no anger, or hatred pokemon,
I mean whats the use of having the bitter items? so some anger, hatred system would be kinda cool! allowing for some pkmn to evolve this way or new items.

Online Secret base,gym and or room.
I know I loved the idea of having a secret base in hoenn region! but the idea for it can go so much further then it did in diamond and pearl
imagine a place like the wifi plaza in platinum that would allow for your buddies to go online and check out your gear,clothing,items just like in animal crossing! but could be more interactive with people checking out your battles you upload on your TV or just hanging out like a lobby in your room/base/gym.

Wifi plaza
I loved that idea, but they should take it a step further and allow for real time people walking around and battling or even making it like they did with phantasy star and allow for greater online experiance and you could do Emotions you gained or doodle, heck even voice chat with some of your friends.

battle frontier
I always hoped that this thing would have been truly online and this would be a perfect time for them to make this happen! imagine the battle frontier and having facilities that would be run with the AI but if you decide to connect to that facility online you could enter the Online community of thoes facilities and would be pretty cool to see who is truly best in thoes catogories
like for example remember emerald version? the battle dome had a tournament style facility, well... I always thought that was awesome! and always hoped that they would make a online version of that facility, or one of the DP facilities online.

Contest pokethelon
I'm not much into these side gamesanymore, but it would be fun to have these online and use your pokemon against other people, plus it would be cool to see people in thoes lobby style areas and check out there pokemon and there ribbons
I used to have a smeargle that came from Pkmn GC and traded him to R/s/e and then traded him to FR/LG and then to DP which gained 46-56 ribbons anyway it had alot of ribbons and I couldn't show it off to the world and only to a selected few in my friends list so a cool little area to make use of thoes ribbons would be kinda cool.

Dsi features
maybe capable downloading some extra new content through dsiware or expanding the storage with crap like pokemonbox or pokemon ranch or something... heck maybe something cooler and allow for some special Dsiware games that would allow you to transfer your pokemon or some bull. lol but I wouldn't daubt the camera.. which I can't think of anything at the moment...
hmm, but probably might use the dsi for gimmicks more then anything, like maybe mini games and mime jr tilt game or something, but last I thought of something, what if they used the SD card to store pokemon data and make it possible to transfer that data to future generation handhelds or maybe not. lol

There's no need for a Light type,Dark's counterpart is Fighting.
Fighting is more like "Justice" or something in Japan (I read this somewhere,don't quote me) which make sense as the counterpart of Dark

But then you or your opponent will either have a crappy Pokemon or a Pokemon that would obviously destroy online.

 

true but then the designers can make it so that you can't bring it into battle online
then again most peopl would make the most detructable one they can so it will be even

 

Then you have the problem that in game your just gonna breeze through since there wont be much opponents against your strong new Pokemon of Armageddon.
