Yeah, makes me wonder if Nintendo is getting lazy. They can really do 3D pokemon or at least Cell shaded or Sprites from a different angle. Jeez. They could've done something revolutionary with the GBA to DS move, but noooo.
ign didnt say a combination of all but in the lines of Diamond, Ruby, GOld...etc hence main series, but i would love to have it as a combination of all or at least be able to visit the region before like in GOLD, SILVER, CRYSTAL where you could go back to Kanto. I want longer gameplay too, without the side quests and just finishing it you can go through the whole game in a day! longer gameplay would be a nice change
mix of ranger and original would be good I mean like the traveling and seeking Pokemon like in ranger, 1 Pokemon would follow you and from menu you would chose a special move like cut then doing it similarly to ranger. the HM would stay but those would have a special slot for them (like 4 moves and up to 4 HMs) which also could be used in battle. the battle would be 3D and you would use cross to move the Pokemon you would be able to jump from B, run from A, use Y to use an move (example Ninetales would use ember and bulbasaur vine whip and some would have animations) but the moves would use PP from a "PP pool" ex: the stronger the move more pp it would use from the pool, and the pool size varies by the Pokemon. some moves would have special traits like "fly: Pokemon flys up high and will not take any damage from attacks for set time but can attack(some moves still can hit the Pokemon) The X would open a battle menu in which you could trow ball or use an item etc:
If they were going to do a game with all previous titles added, what was the point of making Heartgold and Soulsilver?

Why all the push for change? 4 moveslots is plenty, HMs are a decent concept, I like the battle system, and I honestly do want more of the same (the only change should be the little tweaks like from DPP to HGSS). That said, I'm going to rage with the power of a thousand suns if Flareon STILL doesn't get Flare Blitz or similar.
Dude that would be awesome like a Street Fighter/Pokemon. But it would be annoying always having to fight like that. Branching of that idea if you add all the Pokemon on your team VS your opponents team but then it would become more like the Tales of series.
If this goes on, the Pokemon will end up killing replacing the animals in the world. why no one sees it? ......but sounds like a good game
one thing im looking forward to in the new pokemon is the new Eevee Evolutions Im guessing two new ones) i'm hoping for Dragon type Eevee and Steel Type Eevee =)))
that fan-made computer game goes by the name of "Pokemon - Type: Wild" it would be very interesting but i doubt it would catch on. the concept of a pokemon fighter is different but perhaps too different. personally i think it would be boring as hell after a few rounds. Personally, i think a new pokemon game should have different types of battles. Say in certain parts of the game, you have battles like the ones that we are used to with the crappy sprites of their backs or replace the sprites with 3D models and better attacks (badass), and in other parts use you control your pokemon like say in Mystery dungeon or Pokemon Rumble. I also really like melfice's idea:
