New firmware for original R4 released - Wood R4

its confirmed that the source code will be released and once it is, i'm sure most r4 clones will get a wood r4 firmeware working on their flashcart

 

Now I need to find my spare SD card and my R4... then I shall test it. =D

I have an 8G one in my R4i... and I had to steal one out of my camera for the old R4 because it's not SDHC compatible. Haha

 

has anyone tried this with ysmenu and can saves be carried over?

 

How do cheat codes work with this new firmware? I'm confused coz the folder for cheats is empty. Do I bring across my existing CHEAT.DAT file? If so, to where?

 

I can't figure the cheats out myself... I put thet usrcheat.dat into the cheats folder and nothing... I also tried adding themes but they didn't work either.

 

I wondered if the cheat file has to go in the root but the cheats folder threw me. I don't want to start transferring over to the new firmware til I know what I'm doing.

 

if you cant get it to work but you have ysmenu put the extinfo infolib and savelib in ttmenu folder i can play any game i want thanks to that

 

Confusing. There's another thread that tells how to get cheats working. I've done it and it does work.

And this, too. I'm wondering if I should rename, pass my saves through Savefiles Converter, or... both. Can Unusual saves like D.I.Y or Daigasso 2 be sucessfully converted?

Moonshell does work on almost every firmware.

Lameboy GBA is designed for iPlayer, and the R4 doesn't have the iPlayer's hardware.

 

Lameboy is a GBC emulator

 

Anybody know where I can find themes for this??

 

I believe a normal Acekard skin would work for it.
